(a) Your school is hosting an inter-school debate competition. Write a notice for
your school students informing them of the event.
(If the given question is a one-time event or happening like a collection drive for
flood victims)

All pupils from Classes IX and X who wish to participate are requested
to give their names to Mrs. T. Baker on or before 14 th February 2022.

(This date must be a day or two after the exam but 7-15 days before
the last date mentioned on top)

Please note:
 Title for notice - Creative and to be only in English (No Rendezvous or
Ghungroo).  A punctuation mark is a must.
 Sub Title - Should be followed by a detail of what the competition is about. Eg.
-  Annual  Inter School Debate, Frank Anthony Memorial Debate – it is
important to give some additional detail (annual or a name).
 Day, Date, Month, Year (within a window of a 15-day period)
 Time - 10:00  a.m. to 12:30 p.m. or  10 a.m. onwards

 Venue - smaller venue, larger venue (The Manju Bharat Hall, The Shri Ram
School Aravali).
 No acronym to be used. (MBR Hall not accepted)
 Body – target audience (for whom), the contact person (to whom) and the date of
contact (by or before or on).

b) Write an e-mail to the principal of a neighbouring school informing her of


the event and requesting her to send a team to participate.

Please do send your senior debate team to participate in the event.


The topic will be given to the participants an hour before the start of the
competition. They may bring their laptops for use during the preparation
