1. Objective
The objective of this regulation is to establish the organization for smooth operation related to
Environmental Protection, Occupational Safety and Health in HOYA Corporation and HOYA
Group companies (“HOYA Group” hereafter).

2. Scope
This regulation shall apply to all factories and facilities of the HOYA Group (“Facilities”
hereafter). The Facilities include overseas local subsidiaries.

3. Organization
The organization of the HOYA Group Environmental Protection, Occupational Safety and Health
is described in Annex 1.

4. Responsibility, authority, and role

Responsibility, authority, and role of the responsible person and the person in charge shall be as
follows:

4.1 HOYA Group Chief Executive Officer

The chief executive of the HOYA Group as well as the president and chief operating officer of
the HOYA Corporation shall have full responsibility for HOYA Group Environmental Protection,
Occupational Safety and Health.

4.2 HOYA Group Director for Environmental Protection, Occupational Safety and Health
He/She shall have a role as described in Annex 2 and carry out his/her tasks in order to conduct
all activities related to as HOYA Group Environmental Protection, Occupational Safety and
Health smoothly and effectively.

4.3 The Presidents of Environmental Protection, Occupational Safety and Health of Division
The highest executives of Division and General Managers shall promote all operations related to
Environmental Protection, Occupational Safety and Health of Division.

4.4 The Persons in charge of Environmental Protection of Division

They shall have a role as described in Annex 3 and carry out their tasks in order to conduct
Environmental Protection activity in the Division smoothly.

4.5 The Persons in charge of Occupational Safety and Health of Division

They shall have a role described in Annex 4 and carry out their task in order to conduct
Occupational Safety and Health activity in the Division smoothly.

4.6 The Persons in charge of Environmental Protection, Occupational Safety and Health of
Facilities
The highest executives of Facilities and the heads of Facilities shall promote the operation
related to Environmental Protection, Occupational Safety and Health in their Facilities.

4.7 The Persons in charge of Environmental Protection of Facilities

They shall carry out Environmental Protection activity in collaboration with the Persons in
charge of Environmental Protection of Division in order to conduct Environmental Protection
activity in their Facilities smoothly.

4.8 The Persons in charge of Occupational Safety and Health of Facilities

They shall carry out Occupational Safety and Health activity in collaboration with the Persons
in charge of Occupational Safety and Health of Division in order to conduct Occupational
Safety and Health activity in their Facilities smoothly.

5. Meeting
The HOYA Group Environmental Protection, Occupational Safety and Health meetings shall be
as follows:

5.1 Meeting of the presidents and heads of Environmental Protection, Occupational Safety and
Health
The highest organ of HOYA Group Environmental Protection, Occupational Safety and Health,
i.e. the chairperson, shall be the HOYA Group Director for Environmental Protection,
Occupational Safety and Health.

5.1.1 Member composition

1) HOYA Group Chief Executive Officer
2) The Division Presidents, and the heads of the Facilities
3) Those who are designated by the chairperson

5.1.2 Meeting frequency

As occasion arises

5.1.3 Meeting agenda

1) HOYA Group Environmental Protection, Occupational Safety and Health Activity Policy
2) HOYA Group Environmental Protection, Occupational Safety and Health Priority Items
3) Other items needed

5.2 Meeting of the Persons in charge of Environmental Protection of Division and the Persons in
charge of Occupational Safety and Health of Division
The chairperson shall be the HOYA Group Director for Environmental Protection, Occupational
Safety and Health.

5.2.1 Member composition

1) The Persons in charge of Environmental Protection of Division
2) The Persons in charge of Occupational Safety and Health of Division
3) Those who are designated by the chairperson

5.2.2 Meeting frequency

1) Twice a year (periodic)

1) HOYA Group Environmental Protection, Occupational Safety and Health Activity Policy
2) HOYA Group Environmental Protection, Occupational Safety and Health Priority Items
3) Reports from Division and exchange of information
4) Other items needed

5.3 Task Force Committee

The HOYA Group Director for Environmental Protection, Occupational Safety and Health shall
set up a Task Force Committee to consult about special items that are common in the HOYA
Group as occasion demands.
The members, tasks, and meeting dates shall be decided by the HOYA Group Director for
Environmental Protection, Occupational Safety and Health.

6. Responsibility, establishment, and revision

The HOYA Group Director for Environmental Protection, Occupational Safety and Health shall
bear the responsibility for this regulation.
The establishment and revision of this regulation shall require the approval of the HOYA Group
Director for Environmental Protection, Occupational Safety and Health.

6 Thorough collection and proper update of the information on Environmental Protection

3 Promotion of the management of Occupational Safety and Health activities in
