Project Description :

Anthem Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) :

Anthem Enterprise EDI Financial project deals with the development, stabilization and enhancements for
Anthem Enterprise Healthcare financial clearing house application. The financial application(EFCH) is a modern
highly automated healthcare transaction processing application, that process almost a million remits a day
which are transmitted to various leading banking networks such as Bank of America (BOA), Sun Trust,
WellsFargo, Union Bank. It also performs HIPAA validation and format conversion. There are several
components like the gateway, infogix balancing, file translation, routing and delivery each of which performs a
specific function. This application handles the real time money transactions between provider and payers in
health care industry associated with the Anthem Network

Roles and Responsibilities:

 As a team member of Operation support, the responsibilities includes in-depth analysis of file
processing and maintenance of the Anthem clearing house system built on the Unix servers.
 Monitor and determine the RCA on processes and system for abnormalities, transaction failures.
 The role also includes the incident management, problem management, server maintenance,
monitoring, file processing, ad–hoc requests.
 Monitored the EDI jobs in delivering the financial transaction to various banks and backend systems.
 Handled ad-hoc requests from business with respect to tracking and processing of claims.
 Held the responsibilities for balancing the outstanding transactions and monitored the reconciliation
process to make sure the transaction received are delivered out of clearinghouse.
 Ensured all processes(837 claims,835 remits,834 enrollments, 820)are processed without any issues in
clearinghouse system.
 Fulfilled the clients without missing any SLA with proper analysis details.
 Validating the application post patching activities
 Attended daily status meeting to follow-up and resolve outstanding issues.
 Updating and maintenance of knowledge repository.
 Reporting the production and non-prod status on a daily/weekly basis.
