Safety on Wheels to host fundraiser

OVERLAND PARK, Kansas- Safety on Wheels will be hosting a fundraiser on October 10 th, in
Overland Park to raise money for their mobile safety unit.

Tickets for the fundraiser are now available on the Safety on Wheels website. Tickets are $75
each and include dinner and dancing.

At the fundraiser, donors will have the opportunity to hear from Safety on Wheels directors as
well as families who have had positive experiences with Safety on Wheels. These families will
share their stories and how Safety on Wheels helped keep their kids safe in their own homes.
Donors will also be able to hear from different volunteers that have worked with Safety on
Wheels.

"When my son was hurt inside our own home, I never thought
I’d feel safe again. Safety on Wheels brought security into our
home and gave me peace of mind once again. My son is happy,
I am happy, and our family is better than ever" said Amy, a
mom who participated with Safety on Wheels.

In their first year of operation, Safety on Wheels reduced the

number of accidents inside the home by 25%. This was a huge
accomplishment for the company, but they want to continue
to reduce accidents by educating families on safety in their
homes.

Safety on Wheels was started by a group of activists who came up with the idea of developing a
mobile safety center. The center could visit selected locations and inform children and families
about safety in the home.
