Item of Work: welding discrepancy on floating roof weld joints
Details Of Observation( Deficiency)
It is observed during mechanical clearance in Tank-3201B
all overhead welding in the floating roof not done as per
welding requirement and lap joint welded without
removing masking tape on plate edge.
Post weld cleaning is very poor in floating roof
irrespective of the position of weld done.
Recommended Course of Action - TANK NO 3201B
Floating roof all overhead weld to be reweld as per
approved WPS requirement, Masking tape to be
removed before welding from the plate (CMT QC team
has to verify), post welding cleaning to be done with
well-trained person and inspection of individual joint to
be done by CMT QC personnel
