ACADEMIC PROJECTS

MEMS Dual Axis Capacitive Accelerometer for Air-Bag Deployment

• Designed and simulated a capacitive comb accelerometer using COMSOL.
• Selected capacitive threshold value designed a layout with K-layout.
• Fabricated the sensor, when senor detects the capacitance value to threshold level it sends signal
to ECU which deploys air bag.

Biometric Car Entry

• Designed a fingerprint sensor for car using Arduino uno.
• Intended to use the existed CAN architecture in Vehicle and incorporated the biometric sensor to
authorize the access.
• Allow or deny vehicle entry on the basis of saved fingerprints, provides secondary protective layer
beyond the conventional wireless fob access.

MEMS Accelerometer in Automobile

• Studied and analyzed the capacitive accelerometer and its application in automotive industry.
• Analyzed the working principal MEMS accelerometer, types of capacitive accelerometer with their
fabrication.

Study of Design and Working of Oxygen Sensor in Automobile

• Assessed the designing of sensor system and studied the architecture of oxygen sensor.
• Studied the evaluation and types, with the working of sensor.
• Studied how to identify a week oxygen sensor and general application of sensor.

Study of Battery pack Design of electric Vehicle (GM-Bolt)

• The aim was to analyze the specifications of battery pack for electric vehicle like energy, range,
voltage requirements and performance. To study the Lithium-ion battery used by GM in detail
including challenges and remedies.

Traffic Light Controller

• Designed VLSI based chip and demonstrated on FPGA board to control traffic between highway and
farm. The highway traffic has the high priority.
• Projects included CMOS digital logic, VHDL coding and modeling, synthesis, and verification.
• Conducted test bench to simulate the Verilog code and employing on Basys-3.

PWM Generator
• Designed VLSI chip for pulse width modulation generator, 10 Hz PWM signal generated with
variable duty cycle.
• Implemented digital circuits at behavioral and data flow levels and converted RTL code into gate-
level netlist using RTL compiler.
• Obtained netlist converted into chip layout then into package chips using encounter.

Performance evaluation of Ad-hoc Routing Protocols in VANET with Mobility and Node Density.
• Estimated the performance of AODV, DSDV and DSR VANET protocols.
• Simulated using network simulator NS-2.35 for the evaluation of varying node density and mobility
of mobile nodes.
• Analyzed the simulation result for protocols under performance metrices throughput, packet
delivery ratio, end to end delay and residual energy.

TECHNICAL PAPER

Enhancement Performance of VANET Routing Protocols under Varying Speed IJARCCE 2017
• Presented the analysis of performance of Ad-hoc on-Demand Distance Vector routing protocol,
Dynamic Source routing protocol and Destination Sequenced Distance Vector routing in VANET
based on residual energy, throughput, PDR, end to end delay and residual energy. Considered the
fixed number of nodes and varying mobility.
Enhancement Performance of VANET Routing Protocols under Varying Node Density IJSR 2017
• For varying number of nodes, the performance of AODV, DSDV and DSR routing protocols analyzed
under performance parameters throughput, packet delivery ratio, end to end delay and residual
energy.

A Review Analysis of AODV and Routing Protocol in a VANET IJTRM 2017
