INSTRUCTIONS :Answer all of the following questions.
1. A committee of 4 must be chosen from 3 women and 4 men. Calculate
(a) in how many ways the committee can be chosen
(b) in how many ways 2 men and 2 women can be chosen.
2. A bag contains 6 white balls and 5 black balls. Find the number of ways 4 balls can be
drawn from the bag if:
(a) they can be of any colour
(b) 2 must be white
3. The following frequency table of rent costs for a bed space was computed from some
boarding houses:

 Compute the following

(a) the mean and interpret your answer
