VIRTUAL IN-SERVICE TRAINING - DAY 1
INTERVENTION FOR BRIDGING LEARNING GAPS
AND INTENSIFYING LEARNING GAINS
MARCH 15, 2021
9:00AM-2:30PM VIA GOOGLE MEET
The meeting started at exactly 9:00AM. Mr. Freddie G. Lacson, Grade 9 Adviser and
TLE 9 teacher was assigned to lead as the Master of Ceremonies. The program started by
singing the Philippine National Anthem thru an AVP, afterwards the recitation of ISO Quality
Policy to be led by Mrs. Maria Adelissa D. Francisco, G10 Adviser and TLE 9 Teacher. Ms.
Helen P. Loyola, Grade 7 Adviser and TLE 7 Teacher, was asked to lead the prayer, but due
to internet connection problem she did not able to continue the said prayer, Mr. Lacson were
asked to finish the prayer in substitute to Mrs. Loyola. A Food for thought was shared by Mr.
Oliver N. Candelaria, Grade 9 Adviser and TLE 9 teacher. Encouraging teacher’s
collaboration and working as a team.
The meeting proper started by Mr. Michael A. Garrovillas, Opening remarks, giving
encouraging words for every teachers and commending their sacrifices and efforts for
BBEMNHS learners and the unity working hand in hand for ISO internal audit in preparation
for the ISO surveillance next month.
For the Part 2 of Seminar proper. First topic were given by Ms. Meliza M. Paragas,
ISO Consultant, discusses the reviews, findings, and list of Pre-requested documents prior
to surveillance next month, the list are Regulatory compliance: List of applicable permits and
licenses, Top management and QMS: latest assessment on the Context of Organization
including the list of interested parties, summary of Risk and Opportunity assessment,
summary of Quality objectives, Summary of customer survey/report, Internal audit records
covering, Summary of Non-conformity or corrective action reports, management review
minutes. For the DCC: Masterlist of procedures, work instruction and forms, QMS Manual.
HR: sample of an employee 201 file, training plan 2019-2020. PM: Preventive maintenance
plan of all equipment’s, Preventive maintenance plans of facilities. Purchasing: one whole
example of purchasing process (request to delivery), Masterlist of accredited external
providers. On Operation their records will be validated on the actual date of audit. All
documents were requested to be scanned for easy presentation online on the actual audit
date. Questions were arises as Ms. Paragas explained and answered knowledgeably.

After Lunch, Topic #4 Root-Cause Analysis were discussed energetically and witty by
Mrs. Janaya Faye J. Pare, Grade 8 English teacher. She started the talked with an ice
breaker game, “Word Analysis”, everyone participated and enjoyed the game. She
introduced the topic by presenting the content: Root cause analysis, General process for
performing root cause analysis, Root cause analysis tools and identifying its objectives. Thru
the help of visual aid of a tree and its roots, she discusses the main tree as symptoms of the
problem and the root as underlying causes, furthermore the benefits of performing root
cause analysis in school, it helps us meet and maintain customer satisfaction. She also
added, why should Root-Cause analysis be performed, is to avoid the blame game, to a
lesson learned, noted phrase. She also added the Root Cause analysis tools that maybe use
to identify and solve the problem, these are: 5 Why Analysis, Affinity Diagram, Fishbone
Diagram, and Pareto Chart. She further presented each one and explained the applicability
of RCA tools. And citing ISO 9001:2015, 8.5.2 and 8.5.3. Ending the presentation with a
quote, “If you define the problem correctly, you almost have the solution.”-Steve Jobs.
Topic #2 was Principals Hour with Mr. Michael A. Garrovillas. Presented to us the
Mid-Year BE-LCP Status of Implementation of BBEMNHS S.Y. 2020-2021. Laying the Basic
Education School Learning Continuity Plan of our school, Learning Delivery, Instructional
Leadership, Collaboration strategies on partnership, Planning concerns, Data on learning
progress, Project and Practices on new normal, and lastly, Challenges, Intervention and
Results. Moreover, He update us about the Enrollment status of our school as of October 30,
2020, from Grade 7 to 10, with 1157 Male and 982 Female for a total of 2139 students. After
which the Topic #3 Quarter 1 and 2 Assessment were presented by GLC’s and Principal.
Open forum and Announcement, followed by QATAME led by Mrs. Ofelia L. Obenita,
Master teacher of Mathematics Department. The closing remarks were given by Mrs.
Cynthia S. Borja, Head teacher III, TLE Department Chairperson. Mrs. Keshia F. Espadilla
and Mr. Jeffrey Q. Cruz were the Chat moderators that day.
