Study the map carefully and give directions to the Library FROM the Back Street (see the
ARROW).
Answer:
If you want go to the library, and where we are now back street. The best thing is to take the
footpath from here to the road. The city high school will be right in front of you when you get
there. Then turn right to the long avenue then you arrive at City Elementary School you should
turn right to the front street. Then at the at the start of that road, you’ll see a Grocery Store in the
left of road. The library is behind the Grocery Stire, so you turn left at the front street.

3. Study the Dialogue between a Tourist and Tour Guide below. Based on the dialogue, write your
composition that includes: kinds of Woven Bamboo, the kinds of fish they are made of, and
where we can find them.

Tourist : Well, are there any typical souvenirs here?

Tour Guide : Yes, there are several kinds of typical souvenirs here. The
most famous one is Woven Bamboo.
Tourist : Could you tell me more about Woven Bamboo?
Tour Guide : It is one of the original handicraft products from Indonesia.
What is it made of?
Tourist : It is made using dried or old bamboo. Various household items
Tour Guide : such as trays, bags, baskets, room decoration, and many
others are created from this woven bamboo
Where can we find them?
Tourist : At present, these items are not widely circulated. They are
Tour Guide : usually sold at handicraft centers such as Brajan Village in
Yogyakarta.

Woven Bamboo is most famous one of souvenirs in Yogyakarta, it is one of the original handicraft
products from Indonesia. Woven Bamboo made by using dried or old bamboo, it can be various
household items such as trays, bags, baskets, room decoration, and many others are created from this
woven bamboo. At present, these items are not widely circulated. They are usually sold at handicraft
centers such as Brajan Village in Yogyakarta.

4. Situation: You are shopping in Malioboro and want to find the best price on Wayang leathercraft.

Write a conversation of your own as if you are bargaining over prices of Wayang leathercraft you
want to buy. Use the following information in your dialogue!

5. Write out an itinerary on the following plans for your client:

Elaine Smith is going to fly from Australia by Qantas Airlines and arrive in Jakarta at 2 pm. That is on
Thursday the 25th of March. At the arrival gate, she will be picked up by a staff of your agency, who is
going to take her to Indonesia Hotel. After Dinner at the hotel at 6.30 pm, you are going to take her to
Monas for evening sightseeing.

On Friday, she is going to attend three meetings with her business associates. One is in the morning
from 09.00 – 10.00 am. The second meeting is from 10.30 – 11.30 am. The third meeting is after lunch
from 01.30 – 03.00 pm. All of the meetings are held in one of the meeting rooms in the hotel where she
stays. You want her to be ready at the lobby of the hotel at 04.30 pm because you are going to pick her
up for dinner at a Japanese restaurant, and then take her to an Opera performance at Balai Sarbini.

Saturday will be the last day for her to stay in Jakarta as she is leaving for Singapore. On this day you
are going to take her to Kota Tua Jakarta, and Istiqlal Mosque. On her way back to the hotel she is going
to stop and do some shopping at Pondok Indah Mall.
