P.S. I Love You Day is a day to recognized you are loved no


matter what! You are not alone, there are always people here for
you no matter what. Today is a day to reflect and see how loved
and appreciated you are.

Theme: One Step At A Time
On the next slide, you will show students the theme of
P.Ss I Love You Day, ask students what they think this
means. When you have some ideas collected you are
going to write down on chart paper what it means and
display this in the classroom.

Everyone will receive two foot prints.
1. On one foot print they will answer: “What impact do you
want to make on others?”
2. On the second footprint they will answer “What do you
wish to teach others around you?”

Part of your door has been decorated, it’s true,
But now use your creativity to add more and show what
kindness means to you!
Your door will represent your class,
But you only have this period, so do it fast!

You may take the footprints and place one on the door
and the other on the wall between your two doors!

Letter to Parents/Guardians/Someone important to YOU
You are going to write a letter to someone who is important to
you! This could be a parent, an aunt, uncle, brother, sister,
cousin, friend or even a teacher.

Within the letter you want to express to them how much you love
them and appreciate them, reminding them how special they are.
Be as specific as possible. Identify specific things you love about
them,

important YOU are to YOU.

Be more than just a bystander.
Hand each student a piece of paper. Have students
write words on the paper that they have heard that
are negative. Then in tell students to crumble up
the paper and then flatten it back out.
What do you notice about the paper?
Do these words still exist on the paper?
Can you take these words back?
Once we say something it’s difficult to take it
back, no matter how hard we try…

Act it out!: Conflict Resolution
● Separate the class into groups of 4-5
● Each group will receive a conflict resolution scenario
● Each group will identify the underlying problem in the conflict
and go over possible ways to handle the conflict. Students should
identify who each solution benefits
● Encourage students to act out the conflict (they will pick roles
out of a basket). If they don’t want to act it out, they can share
their responses with the class.

Ask the class to talk about what the difference is
between a wish and a hope. Think about how
both of these words have different meanings. On

think a wish is and what they think hope is.

Hope is an optimistic state of mind that is based on an
expectation of positive outcomes with respect to events
and circumstances in one's life or the world at large.

Ex: I hope I get 100 on the math test, I studied for days.

I hope we can go to the movies after school and I did so


well on my report card.

Wish Wings
You will receive a feather, on the feather you are
going to write something that you wish and
something you hope.
After you complete the writing you are going
to color and cut the feather out.
