DIAPERFEEDER works in conjuction with the TFS, automatically controlling and maintaining output Spandex
Fiber Constant Tension Value.
The loop embodies three main actions performed by TFS and DIAPERFEEDER:
TFS has been designed to reduce the effect of static contact points, thus bringing a reduction of the
spandex damages when compared to the TS44.
TFS has a fixed inlet ceramic and an outlet ceramic wheel. The inlet ceramic is fixed to avoid any
dynamic contact point between the motor and the ceramic of the load cell for an enhanced control
of the spandex in the first loop
The TFS outlet ceramic wheel is fixed on its body and, compared to the TS44 + cage wheel, gives
three main advantages:
o Precise triangulation angles of the spandex on the TFS load cell (not influenced by the
mechanical tolerance of cage wheel)
o One less static contact point (referring to the ceramic between the load cell ceramic of the
TS44 and its cage wheel)
o Higher performance of the low friction bearing mounted on the outlet wheel of the TFS
On TFS, the load cell ceramic is made of low friction ceramic in order to reduce the stress on the
spandex preventing any abrasion.
o DIAPERFEEDER featuring the old TS44 (Figure 6) is equipped with the RWO.SP.006. The
RWO.SP.006 is the output bracket with a wheel to drive the spandex out of the TS44
o DIAPERFEEDER featuring the new TFS (Figure 7) has no output bracket. The Output wheel is
directly mounted on the tension sensor to easily drive the spandex out.
o This option reduces the static contact points between the spandex and the ceramics, there is
only one dynamic contact point after the load cell of the TFS
In the images below (Figures 4 and 5) the red arrows represent the static contact points in both
cases;
The pink arrow in left image (Figure 4) represents the low friction ceramic mounted on the load
cell of the TFS.
