STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

Introduction:

I am Gurpreet Singh. I live in Shahjahanpur, which is a city in Uttar Pradesh, India. My date of birth is
15/07/1998 and passport number is S9058260. My father, Jogender Singh, does farming. My mother,
Paramjeet Kaur is a housewife. I am very hardworking and self motivated. I am always ready to learn new
things and adapt easily in new or different environments.

Academics:

I did 10thstandard in 2016 from K K S I C Dalelapur, Shahjahanpur from UP board with 78.8%. After that I
did 12th from the same school in science stream and got 58.2% in 2018.

Work experience

I am from a small place and do not get much help in selecting a carrier. I was trying to get proper support on
my career selection and in the meanwhile I got an opportunity to work and to gain some experience I worked
with Ramanuj Dixit & associates as an office coordinator from 01/07/2018 till 30/09/2020 where in I learn a
lot of things. Here I was responsible for coordinating with all the clients, keeping track of initial accounts such
as till bills receivable and payable, maintaining database, Coordination among staff, answering phone calls,
track of correspondence and communication etc.

Why UK?

These days the UK has become the most popular destination for education and welcomes international
students with warmth. A huge number of students choose to study in the UK because of its high education
quality and diverse culture as well. Education from UK University is well recognized all over the world and
would unlock many opportunities for me, especially in India. At present time, when compared with other
countries UK has many opportunities for international students such as, most of the universities provide an
internship to the students which helps them to get practical knowledge, the universities offer scholarships to
international students based on their academics, which lesions the tuition fee burden and the courses offered
by the universities are well structured and gives stress free learning without overburdening them. Students get
opportunities to enhance their knowledge and potential to the fullest. The UK is the best to learn and improve
English as the UK is the origin of the language. Moreover the student is allowed to work for 20 hours per
week and full time in vacation which is again a big plus of the UK education system

Why BSc Computer Science 

I have completed my 12th from science stream and I have a keen interest to learn computer since then so I
always wanted to pursue my career in the field of computer as in this techno savvy era it is the necessity. So I
started searching for different courses related to this field in abroad as there is lot to learn about coding, web
designing, graphics and finally decided to pursue BSc in Computer Science.

I have Chosen Swansea University because it is the university which is acknowledged as one of the most
preferred institutions in UK. It prepares students to be the leaders in the distinct way in order to attain future
prospects and career success. The university provides a wide platform to every student with higher education, it
serve every individual to gain maturity, sensibility and experience to compete with the global world. To create a
 learning environment technology is supplemented in classroom as well as theory classes are integrated with labs
to enhance practical knowledge. Apart from it, the university holds the reputation all round the globe which will
be of immense help for me in acquiring job in India, as the undergraduate graduates with the international
degree are much preferred by the recruiters. Moreover, after researching from internet, I determined that it is
considered among one of the best universities in the UK because of the field of research, employability,
teaching, innovation, engagement and internationalism. The university has industry links to get the curriculum
updated as per the need of today’s business industry and different employers. The university has won many
awards and has top rankings as well.
Future Prospects:

After completing the course I have a plan to come back to India as I wanted to serve my parents. They
always support me and stand by me whenever I need them and after getting higher education, I want them to
feel proud of me. I will look for a job in India and will look for roles marketing executive, human resource
manager etcetera. I can easily draw the package up to 8 to 10 lakhs per annum by working in this field. I
definitely will have a bright future ahead in India.
