The difference is that documents can be broadly defined as any document that has
markings, signs, or symbols that are meant to communicate a message or meaning to
another person or group of people. Questioning documents entail comparing the document,
or components of the document, to a set of previously established criteria. Forensic
document examiners seek to uncover the origins and features of a document by conducting
a systematic evaluation of its traits and characteristics. This allows them to determine how
a document was created or how it may have been amended. The similarities is that A
document's legitimacy may be called into believe because of its origin, its contents, or the
events and stories surrounding its creation, all of which raise questions about its
authenticity. A document may also be analyzed negatively simply because it offends
someone.
