Activity 4. Rules Against the Standards. Please make a good critique of the situation
below.

Cheryl, a young wife and is seven months pregnant, found out that her husband had an
illicit affair with his former girlfriend. She also found out that the mistress is six months
pregnant. Cheryl stays in the house to take care of their one-year-old daughter and is
financially dependent on her husband. She loves her husband and is very much committed
to him since she is a strong believer in the God of love. There is no room for infidelity in
the proud family of Cheryl. The strong bond of her family assures an open door when she
will decide to leave her husband. But the strong commitment of Cheryl to her husband and
her faith in God prevent her to leave her husband. She personally also don’t believe in
annulment. What should Cheryl do?

Cheryl should talk with his husband and tell him that she knows what her husband was having an affair and
that she knows that the girl he’s having an affair with is pregnant becuase it’s more okay
if they will talk about something that will affect their marriage and especially the family they
built before making anymore decisions. She should also think for her children and not only for herself.
If the husband still continue having an affair, I guess she have to leave her husband to learn his lessons but
the husband still have to provide for his childrens with his wife . She should also stand for herself because she
is a woman and she should also be respected, she needs to fight for herself and her childs and never let anyone
step their feet on her even if it’s her husband. She shouldn’t tolerate it because the more she let him the more
the husband wouldn’t stop and thinks that it was fine for his wife. She shouldn’t let him cheat on her because
she is his wife. But if the husband would stop and apologize for what he did that was wrong and learn, she
should accept him not immediately but by process start to trust him again slowly for them to continue their
Marriage and fix it. She should also accept his husband and give him second chance to change for the better
for him and his family if she sees that his making efforts for the family to win them back and that he was
Regretting what he did.
