HISTORY
Shyamnagar as a village is not one of those to have a rich deep history, but it has a rich
political agenda since its establishment. The village wasn’t independent and came under
harangul gram panchayat, it was later in November of 2008 that the village gained its own
gram panchayat on 17th November 2008.
In the past 30 years, after the coming of industries to the village and its nearby area, the
village gained its popularity like a wildfire and within no time, the village which once was
empty and barren started to fill in with a rush of population. With this rise is population the
industries also increased their production and workers capacity providing employment for
maximum.
There are no major effects or even after effects of the killari earthquake of 1992. The
majority of the population is migrated from nearby towns or villages with lesser job aspects.
The gram panchayat has held two proper elections since its separation. The first elected
Sarpanch of the village belonged to a person of vadar community Mr Masappa chavan. In the
second election of the gram panchayat in the year 2013, however a new type of power
distribution was adopted by the gram panchayat authorities. They decided to share the term
between two parties who Ire standing in the election. For the first half of 2 and half years Mr
Tigule was in power and for the second half of it Mrs wakure. The last election was held on
16th November 2013.
