PACB08 consists of two parts: optical scanning head and pulse convertor box.

The functions of optical scanning head:


1. Convert optical signal into pulse signal on meter;
2. Convert the marker line of turntable into pulse signal.

The functions of pulse convertor box:


1. Provide power to optical scanning head;
2. Change the pulse signal into different amplitude pulse signal to provide for other test
equipments such as PW460 and PW336i, etc.
3. Convert pulse output method: single 5m pulse and synchronization optical scanning
head pulse.
4. Extend an output port, type: RJ11. It is used for other optical scanning head input.

Method of applications:
1. Convert optical signal into pulse signal
1.1 Switch on the optical output in the optical scanning head and adjust the focal length to
LED position in the meter.
1.2 Switch off the optical signal output.
1.3 Adjust the sensitivity parameter until the optical scanning head synchronizes with
meter’s signal.
1.4 Adjust the “Pulse output method” and “Output level” on the optical convertor according
to requirements.

2. Convert the marker line of turntable into pulse signal.


2.1 Switch on the optical output and adjust the focal length to the turntable position in the
meter.
2.2 Adjust the scanning head’s sensitivity parameters until the marker lines of scanning
head and meter synchronize.
2.3 Adjust the “Pulse output method” and “Output level” on the optical convertor box
according to requirements.
