    Dear Mr. Collier, General Nettles, and Colonel McCraw:

    We received your letters dated January 25, 2022, requesting to transfer General Revenue funds (TDCJ
    – $426,895,227.25; TABC – $ 13,615,180.58; and DPS – $40,000,000.00) to the Trusteed Programs
    within the Office of the Governor Strategy A.1.1., Disaster Funds. We understand these were
    appropriations that would have otherwise lapsed at the end of fiscal year 2021, and thus this transfer
    will not affect any agency or program function. Pursuant to Article IX, Sec. 14.04 (d), Disaster
    Related Transfer Authority, House Bill No. 1, General Appropriations Act, 86th Legislature, Regular
    Session 2019, we approve this request. This approval will take effect immediately.
