This is the part where the students
would share the concepts that they
learned based on the activity and the
discussion. Nevertheless, no matter
which learning theory is applied in the
02 DISCUSSION lesson.

The lesson proceeds with the processing of the activity. The


students, as facilitated by the teacher, talk about their experiences
during the activity.

01 ACTIVITY
The lesson begins with an activity that will later facilitate a
meaningful discussion about the topic of the session. The activity
introduces the topic to the students. The activity must be
motivating and engaging to catch the attention of the students.

The students are given the opportunity
to express what they have learned by
verbally giving a summary of what
transpired in class and what they have

In mathematics, this is the part where the students verify what they
have just learned by solving mathematical problems. Depending on
the need.

04 DEEPENING
Here, the teacher asks questions that will engage the students to
critical and creative thinking. Nonroutine mathematical problems or
real-life word problems may be given.

The students explain what they have
experienced in Explore. The role of the
teacher is to facilitate the discussion
that should lead the students seeing
patterns that will help them describe the
02 EXPLORE new concepts in their own words.

Students are exposed to different experiences that will facilitate the


discovery of new concepts ( observation, exercises, simulations or
manipulations of instructional materials)
01 ENGAGE

This part activates the student’s prior knowledge and engages them
with new concepts by doing short activities. The aim of this part is
to arouse the students curiosity.
5 Es Model

05 EVALUATE
Lets the teacher and the students evaluate their learning. Though
giving short exercises are usually the mode of evaluation, the
teacher can be creative by implementing other evaluations
activities.

04 ELABORATE
It allows the students to expand their understanding of the concept
by applying the concept that they have learned to solve
mathematical problems.

Yes, because we believe that to effectively engage a student in the lesson, as
a teacher you should have a concrete plan or process on how you will deliver
the lesson thoroughly, ADIDAS and the 5 ES model is the great example
because these models are equipped with a unique and very engaging step or
process in teaching. These model helps a teacher to implement unique
activities that effectively engage students in class, also allow students to
think critically about different concepts in mathematics.

used. Do you think you will have a
hard time adjusting?
I believe that we will experience or face changes in our teaching
environment and might have a hard time adjusting, but we, as teachers, are
known as being very innovative and have an eagerness to impart knowledge to
the students. Also, the training and preparation I have as a teacher will help me
easily adapt to the changes in my environment.

MODEL THAT WERE NOT REFLECTED IN THE LESSON
PLAN? IF YOU ARE FILL IN THESE MISSING PARTS,
WHAT WOULD YOU WRITE?

The component that is not reflected in the lesson plan is the


synthesis in the ADIDAS model. If I am given a chance to fill the
missing part, I will add remarks and remedial. Remarks- in this part
after the activity given to the students, the teacher should make a
judgment on the student's performance, update students on their
progress, who got lowered and higher grades after that remedial
happen, in this part student who got a lower score will the only one
who will take the remedial class. These stages will help those
students in need of time to process the lesson given to them. This
will avoid students being left behind.
SUMMARY:
ADIDAS AND 5ES MODEL ARE JUST TWO MANY
INSTRUCTIONAL PLANNING MODELS APPLIED IN
MATH. ALL MODELS USUALLY BOIL DOWN TO
COMMON COMPONENTS SUCH AS ACTIVITES,
DISCUSSION AND EVALUATION
