Assignment: 1. What Is Bill of Rights?
Assignment: 1. What Is Bill of Rights?
The Bill of Rights is a list of the primary or most relevant rights of the citizens. It
serves as protection of the people from being harmed or abused by the state or by
other individuals. It guarantees that they can live their lives the way they want to
but it is not absolute or there are restrictions, to ensure that everyone is free and
safe.
It is called the Bill of Rights because it presents the laws that are implemented to
make sure that every citizen is protected and their rights as people are exercised.
I personally think that the most important right in the Bill of Rights of the
Philippines is section 1: No person shall be deprived of life, liberty, or property
without the due process of law. For it emphasizes the importance of one’s life and
body. Furthermore, based on this section, no one should be put to death without
the due process of the law and any harm in one’s body or body parts violates
section 1.
