GENERAL GUIDELINES

I. The official line-up per team must be submitted by the team captains
with the approval of their advisers; this shall be final and irrevocable. In
case of injuries, sickness, loss of connection, or other irrepressible
conditions, the team captain must inform the Technical Committee of
the Sports Committee. For synchronous games the players can make
substitutions, as long as the players in their substitute list are available.

II. Players must be in the designated playing venues fifteen (15) minutes
before their scheduled game. Schedules will be posted on the Sports
Committee Official Facebook Page and copies of each schedule will
be given to the team captains and advisers. The official site for
Synchronous games will be Discord. While the submission of
Asynchronous games will be on designated Google Drive. The team
captains must inform the concerned players and/or teams of their
respective game schedules.

III. It is the responsibility of the team captains and spokesperson of the


game to always inform their players of their game schedules. On the
actual dates of the competitions, the first call for players will be done ten
(10) minutes before the game via messenger group chats per game. The
second call will be made five (5) minutes before the game, and the third
and final call will be made at the scheduled time of the game. After
which, the game shall be declared a defaulted game in favor of the
opponent. If both teams fail to go in the scheduled time of the
competition, they may file a protest, and the Sports Committee shall
reschedule their game.

IV. All players for the Synchronous games will be added to the Sports
Committee’s Official Discord Server. The Discord server will be the official
conferencing tool while synchronous games are happening. All players
must have their discord accounts created and their discord usernames
shall be submitted together with the list of players.

There will be different synchronous games with different categories.


Each category for each game shall be played by the same players.
Each team is allowed to have five (for JHS) or two (for SHS) substitutes
per game. The guidelines per game will be announced one week before
the game via Sports Clinics. Failure to follow this condition will result in
disqualification.

However, if there is a decent reason why he/she didn’t follow the


condition, the overall team captains or their assigned teacher can file a
protest and explain the reason and evidence is still needed. However,
the Sports Committee will still evaluate the evidence and decide
whether to accept it or not.

V. For asynchronous games, there will be a submission date for each


asynchronous activity. The guidelines for each asynchronous activity will
be released one week before the intramurals. The submitted videos in
this asynchronous task should be raw and unedited. Failure to follow the
instructions will result in disqualification.

VI. For team sports, it is expected that each team shall have the minimum
number of players before the start of the game. However, if a team
becomes incomplete, maybe due to absence, accidents, and the like,
the lacking member team will decide whether or not they will continue
the game. Furthermore, a team or any player who leaves intentionally

before the game ends shall be penalized by the game for


disqualification.

VII. Daily attendance shall be submitted to the Sports Committee for


monitoring purposes. The Class Beadle of each class must provide the
batch attendance and submit the file to the Sports Committee

VIII. Each student, player or non-player, must observe the dress code for the
entire duration of the Intramurals. The following dress code must be
observed:

● First day: Batch Color T-shirt (Preferably plain) & P.E. jogging pants
● Following days: Complete P.E. Uniform
● Awarding Ceremony: Batch Color T-shirt and jeans/denim pants
(ripped jeans are not allowed)

IX. Each player in the JHS Department is only allowed to have a maximum
of three synchronous games and two asynchronous games only
excluding dance and music competitions. Likewise, the players in the
SHS Department can join more than the maximum number of events for
each individual. However, the Sports Committee shall not be held liable
if a conflict of schedules occurs.

X. The following serves as the Pointing System applied during the


Intramurals:

XI. Deduction of One (1) point from the team’s total score will be given for:

● Improper uniform
● Making derogatory remarks
● Utterance of vulgar words
● Non-compliance of the guidelines stated herein
● Forfeiture of a match

XII. The most disciplined batch/team award is given to the batch or group
with the least number of violations and or deductions. Qualification is
checked until the awarding night. It is possible that the award may not
be given to any batch or group.
XIII. The best batch/team logo award is given to the batch/team whose logo
(which serves as the symbol and representation of their respective
theme) showcases them in the best way possible. The teams and
batches should also provide a virtual background that will be used
during the Grand Opening of the E-ntramurals.

XIV. All protests regarding games must be made on the same day
before/after the game with a formal protest letter stating the nature of
the protest addressed to the Protest Committee of the Sports
Committee. This should be signed by the team captains and noted by

their class adviser. The Protest Committee will then decide the verdict
within twenty-four (24) hours.

XV. Each team or batch is free to protest but one must assure and ensure
that by making a protest, the case is winnable.

If, after a due investigation, a protest is made just to hamper or delay


any other functions of the Protest Committee and overall, the Sports
Committee, the protester shall be given a deduction of ten (10) points
from the final score.

Any malicious act, brawling/fighting, disrespect to the Sports


Committees and to the school authorities shall be imposed with one (1)
day suspension from the games. In case that a player commits the
offense on the last day, the offenders' team will be deducted 5 points
for the overall results.
The report shall also be forwarded to the Discipline Committee for
appropriate disciplinary sanction.

Asynchronous Games

Basketball (1-3 participants)


1. Lay Up Shot (video)
- For a layup, you run towards one side of the basket, jump, and lay the
ball off the backboard into the hoop.
- The height of the basketball ring must be at least 9 feet high.
- Players should be in a complete basketball uniform or complete PE
uniform. The use of micro-shorts is prohibited.
- Only one Lay Upshot is needed to be seen in the video.
- The video must be in landscape form.
- Minimum of 30 seconds and maximum of 2 minutes.
- The video must be clear and unedited.
2. 2-Pointer Shot (video)
- The shot must be made inside the 3-pointer arc
- The height of the basketball ring must be at least 9 feet high.
- Two 2-pointer shots must be seen in the video.
- Players should be in a complete basketball uniform or complete PE
uniform. The use of micro-shorts is prohibited.
- The video must be in landscape form.
- Minimum of 45 seconds and maximum of 2 minutes.
- The video must be clear and unedited.
3. Types of Dribble (video)
- 4 types of dribbles must be done consecutively.
- The 4 types of dribbles will be high, low, sideways and crossover
dribble.
- Each type of dribble must last at least 10 seconds.
- The full length of the video should be a minimum of 40 seconds and a
maximum of 2 minutes.
- Players should be in a complete basketball uniform or complete PE
uniform.
- The video must be in landscape form.

4. Creative Shot (picture)
- The player should be the main subject of the picture.
- Players should be in a complete basketball uniform or complete PE
uniform.
- The picture can be in landscape or portrait form.
- The picture must be clear and unedited.

Volleyball (1-2 participants)


1. Highest number of underhand receives (video)
- An underhand serve is a type of serve in which the player holds the ball
in one hand, swings the other in an arc motion below the waist, and
strikes the ball from the bottom with a fist to put it in play.
- While doing underhand receives when the ball bounces in the air, it
should be atleast above the head.
- The ball should only hit the hand and no external objects should be used.
- The highest number of proper underhand receives with the ball not
falling on the floor will win the game.
- Players should be in a complete volleyball uniform or complete PE
uniform. The use of micro-shorts is prohibited.
- The video must be in landscape form.
- The video must be clear and unedited.
2. Highest number of overhand receives (video)
- To do this, players must keep their hands high and use their fingers as
receiving points. If a receive does a double touch error, it will not be
counted.
- The bounce of the ball from your hand should be atleast one meter
high.
- Players should be in a complete volleyball uniform or complete PE
uniform. The use of micro-shorts is prohibited.
- The video must be in landscape form.
- The video must be clear and unedited.

3. Creative Shots (Picture)


- The player with a volleyball should be the main subject of the picture.
- Players should be in a complete volleyball uniform or complete PE
uniform. The use of micro-shorts is prohibited.
- The picture can be in landscape or portrait form.
- The picture must be clear and unedited.

Badminton (2-5 participants)


1. Smash Hit (video)
- The smash shot is hit with power and speed downward into the
opponent's court.
- The hit should not be outside the court.
- The use of improvised nets is allowed, given that the height should be 5
feet high.
- Only one Smash hit is required to be seen on the video.
- The full length of the video should be a minimum of 15 seconds and a
maximum of 2 minutes.
- Players should be in a complete badminton uniform or complete PE
uniform. The use of micro-shorts is prohibited.
- The video must be in landscape form.
- The video must be clear and unedited.
2. Jump Smash Hit (video)
- The jump smash hit is a hit with power and speed downward into the
opponent's court. You should jump while doing the smash hit.
- The hit should not be outside the court.
- The use of improvised nets is allowed, given that the height should be 5
feet high.
- Only one Jump Smash hit is required to be seen on the video.
- The full length of the video should be a minimum of 15 seconds and a
maximum of 2 minutes.

3. Drop Shot (video)
- The shuttlecock must be hit so softly that it falls to the playing surface
just after clearing the net.
- The hit should not be outside the court.
- The use of improvised nets is allowed, given that the height should be 5
feet high.
- Only one Drop Shot is required to be seen on the video.
- The full length of the video should be a minimum of 15 seconds and a
maximum of 2 minutes.
- Players should be in a complete badminton uniform or complete PE
uniform. The use of micro-shorts is prohibited.
- The video must be in landscape form.
- The video must be clear and unedited.

- The player with badminton should be the main subject of the picture.
- Players should be in a complete badminton uniform or complete PE

Table tennis (1-2 participants)


1. Penhold or Shakehand style Vs. Wall or Man (video)
- The table tennis ratchet should be held using penhold or shakehand
style.
- Improvised table will be allowed and you will be bouncing the table
tennis ball on the wall or you will be going against an opponent if you
have one.
- If you will be going against an opponent, please identify yourself.

Push up and Sit up Challenge (2 participants)


1. Push-ups (video)
- The push-up challenge will be judged based on the number of
perfectly executed push ups.
- The push-ups should not have an interval of five seconds.
- Yoga mat is required while doing push ups.
- Players should be in a complete PE uniform. The use of micro-shorts is
prohibited.
- The video must be in landscape form.
- The video must be clear and unedited.
2. Sit-ups (video)
- The sit-up challenge will be judged based on the number of perfectly
executed sit-ups.
- The sit-ups should not have an interval of 5 seconds.
- Players should be in a complete PE uniform. The use of micro-shorts is
prohibited.
- The video must be in landscape form.
- The video must be clear and unedited.

Team Chant Challenge (6-10 participants)


- The team will compose a 1-2minute chant or cheer that is designed
specifically for their team/batch.
- The use of foul words and words that are intended to attack other
teams and batches are prohibited.
- The students can use civilian attire for this challenge, however the
Josephian dress code should still be followed.
- The video must be in landscape form, and it can be edited.

Secret Team Challenge (Whole Batch)

- The guidelines for the Secret Team Challenge will be released on the
day the challenge will be given.

Batch Muse and Escorts Creative Shots (Muse and Escorts)

- The participants of this event are batch muse and escorts.


- There would be three pictures submitted to the Sports.
- In the first picture the participants should wear jeans and colored shirt
(team color). In the second picture the participants should wear
complete PE uniform. In the third picture, participants should wear
complete school uniform.
- The picture should be taken inside the premises of their home.
- The picture can be in landscape or portrait form.
- The picture must be clear and unedited.

Synchronous Games
- Attire for Synchronous Games:

a. PE uniform
b. Jogging pants
c. Sportswear shorts
d. Athletic shoes

- The official platform that will be used for synchronous games will be
Discord.
- The team leader for each game should share their screen all throughout
the duration of the game.
- All players should turn on their microphones while playing.
- All the participating teams must submit to the sports
committee/tournament officials the properly filled-up registration
form/entry to be held before the scheduled day of the tournament.
- The game shall start strictly at the scheduled time. It can only start if at
least half of the team is present during the match. Otherwise, it will be
forfeited or rescheduled depending on the reason.
- Players shall enter the discord room 10 minutes prior to the game, and
they should be ready and match with their opponent 5 minutes before
the game.
- Points will be deducted in the team and batch score if ever the players
commit violations that are said in the general guidelines and guidelines
per game.
- Players who commit major and grave offenses will be disqualified from
the game and suspended from joining any games in the E-ntramurals.

Call of Duty Mobile (5 participants, 5 substitutes)


1. Frontline
- There would be two teams in this category, each team in this category
shall be composed of 5 members.
- Kill players on the opposing team. You always spawn at your base. The
first team to reach the score limit wins.

- The map is random.


- There will be an allotted 30 minutes per game in this category.
- Uttering and typing foul and derogatory remarks are strictly prohibited.
- Cheats are strictly prohibited.
2. Deathmatch
- There would be two teams in this category, each team in this category
shall be composed of 5 members.
- Kill players on the opposing team. The first team to reach the score limit
wins.
- The map is random.
- There will be an allotted 30 minutes per game in this category.
- Uttering and typing foul and derogatory remarks are strictly prohibited.
- Cheats are strictly prohibited.
3. Search and Destroy
- There would be two teams in this category, each team in this category
shall be composed of 5 members.
- There will be 5-10 rounds, each round, either work together to destroy
the objective or stop the enemy from doing the same. No respawns.
- The map is random.
- There will be an allotted 30 minutes per game in this category.
- Uttering and typing foul and derogatory remarks are strictly prohibited.
- Cheats are strictly prohibited.
4. Domination
- There would be two teams in this category, each team in this category
shall be composed of 5 members.
- Capture and hold objectives to earn points over time. Reach the score
limit to win.
- The map is random.
- There will be an allotted 30 minutes per game in this category.
- Uttering and typing foul and derogatory remarks are strictly prohibited.
- Cheats are strictly prohibited.

Valorant (5 participants, 5 substitutes)


1. Deathmatch
- Free for All. There will be 12 participants in this category. (3 participants
per team in JHS)
- There will be an allotted 20 minutes per game in this category.
- Camping is strictly prohibited.
- The use of Odin and Judge in this category is prohibited.
- Each player loads into a random map, chosen through the spin wheel,
with a random agent that they own.
- Once either the kill limit of 40 or the time limit of 10 minutes has been
reached, the game will end.
- Uttering and typing foul and derogatory remarks are strictly prohibited.
- Cheats are strictly prohibited.
2. Standard
- Each team in this category shall be composed of 5 members.
- There will be an allotted 60 minutes per game in this category.
- There will be 2 sides, the attacking and defending side. The goal for the
attackers is to plant the spike and let it explode, or kill all of the
defenders. The goal for the defenders is to defuse the spike when
planted or kill all of the attackers.
- Coin toss will be used in identifying which team will be the attackers or
defenders. On the other hand, spin the wheel will be used in identifying
which map to be played at.
- There will be 12 rounds in the first half. In the second half, the teams will
switch sides of being attackers/defenders.
- The first team to get 13 points will win the game. In case of overtime, the
match point system will be implemented.

- Cheats are strictly prohibited.

Mobile Legends (5 participants, 5 substitutes)


1. Classic
- Each team in this category shall be composed of 5 members.
- There will be an allotted 40 minutes per game in this category.
- The primary goal is to destroy the Enemy Base. This requires you to
defend your Turrets and Base, and destroy the enemy Turrets.
- More kills might result in them getting MVP, but destroying turrets and
getting to the Enemy Base is the main objective.
- The use of legendary skins in this category is allowed.
- Spamming the recall or tp (teleport) button after outplaying the enemy
is strictly prohibited.
- Uttering and typing foul and derogatory remarks are strictly prohibited.
- Cheats are strictly prohibited.
2. Brawl
- Each team in this category shall be composed of 5 members.
- There will be an allotted 30 minutes per game in this category.
- Brawl Mode is a game where players only play in one lane. There are no
other lanes, items can only be bought at the base, and the goal of the
game is to destroy the enemy tower as quickly as possible.
- Uttering and typing foul and derogatory remarks are strictly prohibited.
- Cheats are strictly prohibited.

Tetris (1 participant, 1 substitute)


1. Endless Game Mode
- Each batch should have 1 participant for this game.
- The Tetris Official app will be used in this game, it can be downloaded
in Google Play and Apple App Store.
- There are 6 types of blocks that will be randomly given by the system of
the game. The goal here is to fit those blocks perfectly with each other.
- The highest Tetris score at the end of the game will be announced as
the winner.
- Uttering and typing foul and derogatory remarks are strictly prohibited.
- Cheats are strictly prohibited.

Osu (1 participant, 1 substitute)


1. Osu! Taiko
- The participant for the Osu! Taiko will also be the participant for Osu!
Catch, unless a substitution is applied.
- Osu! is a rhythm game, in this category the player will catch the blue
and red rhythm.
- The highest number of points at the end of the game will be declared
the winner.
- Uttering and typing foul and derogatory remarks are strictly prohibited.
- Cheats are strictly prohibited.
2. Osu! Catch
- The participant for the Osu! Taiko will also be the participant for Osu!
Catch, unless a substitution is applied.
- Osu! is a rhythm game, in this category, catch the fruits falling from top
to bottom. You move by pressing buttons to move and dash around the
screen.
- The highest number of points at the end of the game will be declared
the winner.
- Uttering and typing foul and derogatory remarks are strictly prohibited.
- Cheats are strictly prohibited.

Skribbl Io (3 participants)
1. Set A
- Each batch should have 3 participants for this game.
- Skribbl.io is guessing and drawing. Every round a Player is chosen to draw
something for the others to guess what it is. The first player to achieve
the goal of points will be declared the game-winner.
- The highest number of points at the end of the game will be declared
the winner.
- Uttering and typing foul and derogatory remarks are strictly prohibited.
- Coaching others is not allowed.

Scrabble (1 participant, 1 substitute)


- Each batch should have 1 participate to participate in this game.
- The players should download the official scrabble app in Google Play or
the Apple App Store.
- There will be sets of letters given to the players, each letter corresponds to
points, and some tiles has score multiplier which will very advantageous to the
player. The highest number of points at the end of the game will be

declared the winner.


- Uttering and typing foul and derogatory remarks are strictly prohibited.
- Coaching others is not allowed.

Chess (1 participant, 1 substitute)


1. Normal Chess
- The participant for the Normal Chess will also be the participant for fast
chess. Changes can only happen if substitution occur.
- The players will use chess.com as the official platform for this game.
- Illegal moves in chess are still not allowed.
- In case of a tie, tiebreaker will be done.
- The player who does checkmate first will win the game. However,
players can also resign, meaning they admit defeat.
- Uttering and typing foul and derogatory remarks are strictly prohibited.
- Coaching others is not allowed.
2. Fast Chess
- The participant for the Normal Chess will also be the participant for fast
chess. Changes can only happen if substitution occur.
- The players will use chess.com as the official platform for this game.
- Players have 10 seconds for each move.
- Illegal moves in chess are still not allowed.
- In case of a tie, tiebreaker will be done.
- The player who does checkmate first will win the game. However,
players can also resign, meaning they admit defeat.

Josephian dress code should still be followed.
- The video must be in landscape form, and it can be edited.

Secret Team Challenge (Whole Team)

- The guidelines for the Secret Team Challenge will be released on the
day the challenge will be given.

Team Muse and Escorts Creative Shots (Muse and Escorts)

- The participants of this event are team muse and escort.


- There would be three pictures submitted to the Sports.
- In the first picture the participants should wear jeans and colored shirt
(team color). In the second picture the participants should wear

Synchronous Games
- Attire for Synchronous Games:

- The official platform that will be used for synchronous games will be
Discord.
- The team leader for each game should share their screen all throughout
the duration of the game.
- All players should turn on their microphones while playing.
- All the participating teams must submit to the sports
committee/tournament officials the properly filled-up registration
form/entry to be held before the scheduled day of the tournament.
- The game shall start strictly at the scheduled time. It can only start if at
least half of the team is present during the match. Otherwise, it will be
forfeited or rescheduled depending on the reason.
- Players shall enter the discord room 10 minutes prior to the game, and
they should be ready and match with their opponent 5 minutes before
the game.
- Points will be deducted in the team and batch score if ever the players
commit violations that are said in the general guidelines and guidelines
per game.
- Players who commit major and grave offenses will be disqualified from
the game and suspended from joining any games in the E-ntramurals.

Call of Duty Mobile (5 participants, 2 substitutes)


1. Frontline
- There would be two teams in this category, each team in this category
shall be composed of 5 members.
- Kill players on the opposing team. You always spawn at your base. The
first team to reach the score limit wins.

- The 5-7 members are allies that will fight in a game of survival. The goal
of each team is to wipe out the players of other teams. The last team
standing will be declared as the winner.
- Upon landing, the players will only be equipped with a knife. Equipment
will be found on equipment boxes in the area.
- There would be an allotted 60 minutes per game in this category.
- Revival of teammates is allowed.
- Uttering and typing foul and derogatory remarks are strictly prohibited.
- Cheats are strictly prohibited.

Valorant (5 participants, 2 substitutes)


1. Deathmatch
- Free for All. There will be 12 participants in this category. (3 participants
per team in JHS)
- There will be an allotted 20 minutes per game in this category.
- Camping is strictly prohibited.

- Each player loads into a random map, chosen through the spin wheel,
with a random agent that they own.
- Once either the kill limit of 40 or the time limit of 10 minutes has been
reached, the game will end.

2. Standard
- Each team in this category shall be composed of 5 members.
- There will be an allotted 60 minutes per game in this category.
- There will be 2 sides, the attacking and defending side. The goal for the
attackers is to plant the spike and let it explode, or kill all of the
defenders. The goal for the defenders is to defuse the spike when
planted or kill all of the attackers.
- Coin toss will be used in identifying which team will be the attackers or
defenders. On the other hand, spin the wheel will be used in identifying
which map to be played at.
- There will be 12 rounds in the first half. In the second half, the teams will
switch sides of being attackers/defenders.
- The first team to get 13 points will win the game. In case of overtime, the
match point system will be implemented.
- Uttering and typing foul and derogatory remarks are strictly prohibited.
- Cheats are strictly prohibited.

Mobile Legends (5 participants, 2 substitutes)


1. Classic
- Each team in this category shall be composed of 5 members.
- There will be an allotted 40 minutes per game in this category.
- The primary goal is to destroy the Enemy Base. This requires you to
defend your Turrets and Base, and destroy the enemy Turrets.
- More kills might result in them getting MVP, but destroying turrets and
getting to the Enemy Base is the main objective.

the game. The goal here is to fit those blocks perfectly with each other.
- The highest Tetris score at the end of the game will be announced as
the winner.

Osu (1 participant, 1 substitute)


1. Osu! Mania
- The game is like the piano tile game, however there are more buttons
which makes it harder.
- The highest number of points at the end of the game will be declared
the winner.
- Uttering and typing foul and derogatory remarks are strictly prohibited.
- Cheats are strictly prohibited.
2. Osu! Catch
- The participant for the Osu! Taiko will also be the participant for Osu!
Catch, unless a substitution is applied.
- Osu! is a rhythm game, in this category, catch the fruits falling from top
to bottom. You move by pressing buttons to move and dash around the
screen.

Scrabble (1 participant, 1 substitute)


- Each team should have 1 participate to participate in this game.

- There will be sets of letters given to the players, each letter corresponds to
points, and some tiles has score multiplier which will very advantageous to the
player. The highest number of points at the end of the game will be

Roles, Responsibilities, and Duties

Team Captain

- It is the responsibility of the team captains to always inform their players


that they must be in the designated playing venues fifteen (15) minutes
before their scheduled game.
- They inform their batchmates about the dress code during the
Intramurals.
- They must be present when someone from their batch decides to
protest.
- If there are substitutions due to injuries, sickness or other irrepressible
condition, the team captain must inform the Sports Committee.

Spokesperson

- It is also their responsibility to inform their players with their game


schedule.
- They must always be present when their player is playing.
- They must be present during a protest of their player.

Non-official player

- They are the ones to score and officiate their assigned games.
- Know the rules, and point system of their assigned game to officiate.
- Know the game that they are going to officiate.
- To assist the SC Officials in officiating the games
- They must be in their designated playing venues fifteen (15) minutes
before their scheduled game.
