Project Details
Project Title: Estimation of Carrier Frequency Offset in OFDM Systems
using Complementary Sequence
Tools used: Simulink, Labview.
Project Overview: The Objective of this work is to estimate Carrier Frequency
Offset (CFO) in Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) systems using
Complementary Sequence (CS) as training sequence. Besides the complementary

property, such sequences exhibit some additional properties which make them
attractive as synchronization codes: they have low aperiodic auto-correlation side
lobes, and there are a large number of them for a given code length. The proposed
CS-based method can operate fractional CFO estimation on the basis of Auto
correlation function of the training sequence.

Project Title: Implementation of OFDM Transmitter using MATLAB and SIMULINK.

Project Overview: A real time transmitter using an Orthogonal Frequency Division
Multiplexing signaling scheme is proposed. The transmitter frame can be reconfigured
 for different pilot and data schemes. Corresponding blocks of OFDM transmitter and
receiver includes Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (QAM), Symbol Generator (SG),
MTech Mini Project Zero Padding, Inverse Fast Fourier Transform (IFFT), Cyclic Prefix, Output Module.
Results show that a rough implementation of the signal path can be implemented by
using Simulink

Project Title: Smart traffic control system using MATLAB

Traffic congestion is a condition on road networks that occurs as use magnifies, and is
described by slower speeds, longer trip times, and augmented conveyance queuing.
Here we have a system that implements an image processing algorithm in real time
traffic light control which will control the traffic light efficiently. A camera is placed in
each stage of traffic light that will capture the still images of the road where we want to

matching with a reference image which is an empty road image. Multi-junction
monitoring and Emergency vehicle detection is implemented using Image Processing.
Image processing algorithm is implemented using MATLAB.
