This “What’s New” document will detail the major enhancements made to the
software since the version 4.8 release. This What’s New document contains
new features for both version 5.0 and 5.1. Each item will be listed indicating
what version the new feature was added.
The Infinia Integrator v5 adds the ability to allow users to export the
Integrator grid back to Excel. This feature will allow the user to export
either the entire grid back to Excel or export just the errors. When errors
exist in the grid this new feature will allow quicker editing of errors in Excel
and allow the user to quickly paste the data right back into the Integrator.
Integrator allows the user to open the Excel export from Integrator:
Correct your errors in Excel and Copy from Excel back to Integrator:
We do not support the Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013 Web Client at this time.
Please contact sales@infiniatech.com for any questions or updates.
With the release of Infinia Integrator v5, compatibility is now available for
Windows 8, Office 2013 both 32 bit and x64, and Microsoft SQL Server
2012.
With the release of Infinia Integrator v5.1, companies have the ability to
purchase a new module for GL. This new module for GL allows users to
import multiple journal entries into Dynamics GP with one copy-paste-import.
With the release of this new module, the financial Integrator screen has
been updated to allow the import of single or multiple journal entries.
The multiple journal entry screen has been designed differently from the
single entry screen. The transaction date, source document, and reference
have all been moved out of the header section into the Integrator Grid.
When reading information from Excel the Integrator will now look for
changes in one of the following columns: Transaction Date, Source
Document, or Reference. When one of these fields changes in your source
Excel data, the Integrator will automatically start a new journal entry for
you. This allows the Integrator to import multiple journal entries with one
copy-paste-import.
Here is an example of the Excel source data and column formats for a
multiple journal entry import. In this example you can see that from the
Excel source data, the transaction date changes in column B and also the
references change in column D. The Integrator will read this in the copy
paste into the Integrator and setup 3 different journal entries.
Once the Integrator Import button is pushed and the journal entries are
sent to Dynamics GP, the Integrator Grid will be updated with all 3 journal
entry numbers, including the total number of journal entries imported in the
upper right of the screen.
Infinia Integrator v5.1 will now allow the company to setup their Excel
template to include the amounts in ONE column (debits as a positive number
and credits as a negative number). Prior versions forced the user to setup
the amounts in separate columns. The company will be able to determine if
they want the GL amounts in a single column or multiple columns through a
setup option.
The setup screen follows along with an example Excel template. When the
setup checkbox is marked either for single or multiple entry import, this will
allow the user to use one column for amounts in their import template.
v5.1 – New GL import data fields now include option for three
originating fields
Infinia Integrator v5.1 will now allow the import of three additional fields on
GL imports: Originating Document Number, Originating Master ID, and
Originating Master Name. Many companies use outside systems for
capturing transactions, and if they don’t use Dynamics GP subsidiary modules
(AR, AP) they can’t update these fields. Now the Integrator gives them the
ability to mark these fields both for Single GL Entry and Multiple GL Entry
imports.
When these fields are marked, the Excel template will be automatically
changed to include these fields as shown in this example below:
Once the import is completed, the three originating fields are not visible
from the Dynamics GL journal entry screen, edit list, or posting journal. You
can view the originating fields in SmartList using the
Financial>AccountTransaction view, which will allow you to view the fields
both in an un-posted or posted status.
With the new v5.1 GL Setup screen, companies can now decide to either
include or exclude the GL detail distribution reference. In prior versions
the distribution reference was required in the Excel template.
Infinia Integrator v5.1 adds a new GL setup screen to support all of the new
GL features. The setup screen is divided into two columns: one for single
journal entry imports and one for multiple entry imports. The screen
includes sections for each as follows: required fields, optional fields, and
defaults. A section is also available if using Binary Stream’s Multi-Entity
Management add-on for Dynamics GP. The Integrator’s new setup screen
will give companies much greater flexibility to setup their GL import
template.
With the addition of the new GL Setup Screen an option has been added to
the Infinia Integrator overall setup to allow companies to rebuild this table.
Due to the changes to this table, the GL Configuration Table will need
to be rebuilt before using the Integrator 5.1.1.
This new option will allow users to disable the MEM entity when importing
from the Integrator. This option is designed to only be used when MEM is
already disabled in Dynamics GP for the company. If you do not have MEM
disabled in Dynamics GP, and you disable the MEM Integrator import, you
will not be able to post the transaction in Dynamics GP, since the MEM entity
will be missing. We only recommend using this feature with MEM is already
disabled in Dynamics GP.
The options to disable MEM with the Integrator import are as follows:
1. Don’t allow MEM to be disabled (default)
2. Disable MEM on a per entry basis with optional password to force the
user to enter the password to complete the override.
3. Disable MEM for all entries
These options apply for both Single and Multiple Entry imports.
As you can see in the following example each user is listed on the left column
and the right column includes the multi-selection checkboxes for access to
the appropriate Infinia Integrator screen needed. This screen also adds a
new checkbox called All Windows to quickly give all access to a user by just
clicking the All Windows checkbox.
Infinia Integrator v5.1 will now support larger number formats. The
Integrator will support the largest number format that Excel will allow,
$9,999,999,999,999.99. These larger number formats will also display
properly within the Integrator screens.
Infinia Integrator v5.1 now includes redesigned tools tips and bubble-help to
assist the user in performing their copy-paste-imports.
Infinia Integrator v5.1 now includes a new tools tip when using the
Integrator with the MEM add-on module. This new tool tip can be found to
the right of the Company box. When you hover over the blue i icon, the
Integrator will display all of the MEM settings from GP.
Infinia Integrator v5.1 home page will now display details in the lower right
hand corer regarding setup, including: License Site Name, Dynamics GP
version, Infinia Integrator version, and Infinia Integrator Security details.
