ICPEP GENERAL ASSEMBLY

On the day January 29, 2022 I attended the General Assembly The first speaker was Engr. Gina
Tumang she tell us about FUNDAMENTALS OF TECHNOPRENEURSHIP she shares the meaning of
entrepreneur in general, when you say entrepreneur An entrepreneur is an individual who
creates a new business, bearing most of the risks and enjoying most of the rewards. The
process of setting up a business is known as entrepreneurship. The entrepreneur is commonly
seen as an innovator, a source of new ideas, goods, services, and business/or procedures.

Entrepreneurs play a key role in any economy, using the skills and initiative necessary to
anticipate needs and bringing good new ideas to market. Entrepreneurship that proves to be
successful in taking on the risks of creating a startup is rewarded with profits, fame, and
continued growth opportunities. Entrepreneurship that fails results in losses and less
prevalence in the markets for those involved.

When it comes to pursuing a career in engineering, whether it’s resources

engineering, sustainable materials or even innovative recycling, specialist skills and knowledge
are vital if you want to stand out compared to other job candidates.

Much like every other industry in the world, the engineering landscape is evolving at a rapid
rate, and so the demand for engineers with an innovative and entrepreneurial mindset has
never been greater.

When you design you need to think, build and test then repeat all three , we need to innovate,
innovation is all about solving the day-to-day problems of the world. Its all about making the
life of people, easier. Innovation is not about asking questions and understanding people.
Invention is not innovation if it does not solve a problem.

On the same day January 29, 2022 the second speaker was Engr. Rose Anne Velonza she
discussed about Network, A network consists of two or more computers that are linked in
order to share resources, exchange files, or allow electronic communications. The computers
on a network may be linked through cables, telephone lines, radio wave, satellites, or infrared
beams. Engr. Rose also shares about what does a network engineer do! I like this topic cause
related to us us engineering student.
Engr. Gina Tumang tells about Startup vs. Small Business Differences between startup vs. small
business So, now that you have an overarching sense of what a startup is, let's dive a little
deeper into the characteristics that differentiate a startup from a small business. Also Growth
intent One of the biggest differences between a startup vs. small business is the growth intent
behind your operations. As we mentioned above, startup founders are looking to significantly
impact and disrupt the current market with their startup business idea—meaning they're not
looking to maintain a small, limited team forever.
