Schedule of the Tournament
The Tournament will be held on 20th February 2022 on
Tornelo.com. Zoom meeting id shall be shared separately.
Last date to register is 19th February 2022.
The duration of the game will be 15 min+ 10 secs each per
participant.
Demo on Sunday at 9;30AM.
There will be total 6 rounds.

Prizes
First rank holders of each age group will receive
scholarships worth Rs.4000 as follows:
1 Hour of One on One Game Analysis Session
with SMCA's professional coaches for free
(worth Rs 1500/-)
2 Free Tickets for participating in SMCA
Live’s Sunday Chess Tournament (Held every
Sunday. This scholarship cannot be redeemed
in the Inter-School Tournament). (Worth Rs
1,000/-)
3 Hours of Group Sessions conducted on
Saturdays. (Scheduled by SMCA) The
scholarships should be redeemed within 2
months.

Criteria for Participation
Age Criteria for participation is 5 yrs and
above.
There will be separate categories for Boys and
Girls.
Each category will have the following
7 sub-categories:
1. Under-6 (Born on or after 1st Jan 2016)

Rules and Regulations
Presence of the participant on Tornelo.com and
zoom is mandatory.
Participants should have access to windows
computer/laptops with a good internet connection
Participants using Mac computer/laptops should
mandatorily use side camera (connect zoom from
additional device) which should cover their hands
and laptop screen visibility
The time shall be controlled by an online chess
clock, no time shall be added if the participants
fail to join the round late nor the game shall be
restarted. Thus, participants are requested to be
active 15 minutes before the start of the first
round

Rules and Regulations
This is an official chess tournament
conducted by the team of FIDE as well as
international arbiters. Any misconduct or
cheating caught during the tournament shall
be communicated across all association of
chess.

Right to Protest
The right to protest is given to the participants to allow them to raise their
concerns if they feel that their opponent has cheated or the arbiter's decision
was not correct for their game according to the partipant.
To raise the protest officially kindly mail smca.tournament@gmail.com with
the complete details including the age group, round number, board number, and
opponent's name. You are suggested to write about the incident briefly.
To raise the protest, kindly gpay Rs. 2000 as protest fees to 9821493956 (Balaji
Guttula, SMCA) and share the payment screenshot in the same protest mail,
the protest has to be done within 15 mins of end of the round. No protests post
the stipulated time shall be entertained. This is because of the pairings that are
scheduled as per the points earned in the previous rounds
If the protest was successful and the opponent is found cheating, you shall
receive the points as well as Rs 2000 as refund.
If not then we shall retain Rs. 2000/-.
No other mode of communication shall be accepted for protesting.
