- First of all, the scripture says not to add to “the book of this prophecy” meaning the book, or
letter of Revelation. It is not referring to the bible nor can it because at that time, the Bible, as
we know it today, had not even been compiled nor did it exist yet. Furthermore, the book of
Revelation was not the last book in the bible to be written, the gospel of John was. (The New
Testament is not in chronological order). Even if this was the case, then we would also have to
accept the statement in Deuteronomy 4:2, making everything written after that void. Also the
scripture is referring to the fact that “man” can’t add to or take away, bur never implies that God
can’t. Ironically enough if we look at the last verse in the bible chronologically in John 21:25, it
says that all the books in the world written could not contain all the things that Christ did.
