VOTING FOR THE ELECTIONS:

UNMET NEED OF THE SOCIETY:

Voting is one of the most critical functions of our society. History has told us that many
elections occurred before were manipulated in order to get desirable outcomes or results.
So, to overcome this problem mobile voting is introduced as to improve the casting of votes
and the results which were being manipulated. Mobile voting is a mobile application which
is secured and will ease the voting by just having a good internet connectivity and a smart
phone. It can not only be utilized in the voting process but can also save time and the cost
involved in it. The voter can easily download the application and cast their vote which will
get stored in a database. One of the main problems in this, management of casted votes and
the transparency of votes. Keeping in mind, blockchain technology can be used to list the
records and to keep them secured. So why not to use this insight to come up with the idea
of using blockchain in voting for elections. We call it Decentralized mobile based for voting.

FORM OF INNOVATION:

Online voting has become trend that is growing and is acquiring

momentum in the modern society. Though online voting has many merits
but still it causes many frauds and tampering. Hence, we propose one of
the techniques to avoid these online frauds and tampering is to use
Decentralized i.e. block chain mobile based for voting for elections
through mobile applications. It thereby uses blockchain technology to
store the votes of the voters securely and thereby maintains authenticity
of the voters proving easy, secured and accessible transparent system to
them.
Expansion of the electronic voting into blockchain technology is the need of the society to
abolish present day voting system.

FRAMEWORK OF THE IDEA:

It has cryptographic properties to maintain the authenticity
and privacy of the voter. Voter is registered into the system
and through blockchain voter hash is generated to protect
the frauds and maintains the authenticity. All the eligible
users that is people of age 18 years or above are to register
so that only eligible users can access the system and biometrics shall be used to prevent the
users voting twice. When the vote is successfully casted the user is provided with the
transaction ID which is unique in form of cryptographic hah. The ID is created to track and
tally the vote.

It is feasible to vote through the mobile application and the users not having mobile phones
can go to nearby voting centers. Accordingly, it is presently believed that there may be
demand for the decentralized mobile based voting.
Thus, the idea can be used to achieve the goal to make voting on a digital platform with the
use of the blockchain technology.
