Jawa Dam is the oldest dam in the world. It was built around 4000-3500 BCE.

It is a collection of 3 big
dams and several smaller dams, which were part of an extensive water supply system. They were all
used to accommodate the water needs of the town of Jawa.

Two of the three of the bigger dams were deflector dams, that is they were used to channel water in
reserves. The third dam was a reservoir used to stop flood water. But due to heavy rain, the dam got
destroyed. The other two stopped being utilized after a generation.

The biggest of the three dams is the Mosonnery Gravity Dam, which also the oldest dam in the world.

Although, all the dams were destroyed but there remains are still there in Jawa.
