My name is Rica Joy D. Estel and I’m from Umingan Pangsinan. I was born in Jeddah Saudi Arabia
as the only child in the family and lived there for 18 years before moving to the Philippines. I studied
there until I graduated high school. I am a freshmen college student studying at Central Luzon State
University taking the course of Bachelor in Physical Education.

I am currently working as a tutor of three students to earn and help my parents for the expenses.
I took this course because I am capable of doing physical activities and I am into sports since I was in
elementary. I became a varsity player of volleyball and tables tennis since I was in 5 th grade until I
graduated high school. Being on a team was the most precious and memorable for me because I was
able to learn a lot from my teammates. A lot of people are saying that Physical education is not a major
subject but through PE students get a lot of benefits from physical education classes. P.E. classes can
help student to become more aware of the importance of a healthy lifestyle. PE became my favorite
subjects not only because its fun but I learned how that playing is not all about winning but it’s about
how you play the game well with focus.

Aside from sports, I love reading books about fiction and especially love watching Korean dramas.
Through Korean dramas, I am learning how to speak and understand Korean and write hangul. I learned
how to dance too because of KPOP, I had no interest when it comes to dancing but when I started to like
KPOP, I tried dancing and dancing until I became a dancer. I could say that I am a senior already when it
comes to kpop because from the 2 nd generation group up to present I know every member of the groups
and their songs. Korean pop songs truly gave me motivations and inspirations that gave me my talents
and hobbies. I also play the instruments like piano, guitar and drums when I do have time. I became a
part of a choir when I was in Jeddah.

Also, I am an introverted person. I would wait for someone to approach me first before I do, I
enjoy spending time alone and do the things I usually do. But once you get to know me, I am a person
who talks a lot and plays like there’s no tomorrow. I hope I could open up more to my classmates from
online so that we could help each other throughout the school year. It’s nice to know you ma’am Maria
Loida, it’s just sad knowing that you can’t teach us personally but I hope that this subject would be fun
for us yet we can learn a lot from the lessons you’ll be giving us and your experiences. Thank you so
