It’s not about money. It’s about the people you have, and how you’re led.
~ Steve Jobs
The most important thing that I have learnt in life is to never stop dreaming and creating new
goals for myself as it will always challenge me as an individual to give my best and learn new
things. I have believed that practice triumphs talent, and if I practice hard enough, giving it my
all, I would be able to achieve my goals... I, Komal Kaur Lamba, want to apply for the Project
Management course at the esteemed Northeastern University, Canada because Project
Management is a key skill of how to put one's resources, be it manpower, time or money, to
the best use possible. It has the power to set one up for success. I wish to work with
management related issues and practices. I want to learn how the compatibility and level of
efficiency work in a firm between people and understand the various behaviors and outcomes
across the hierarchy.
Coming to my academics, I was a brilliant student who scored better than average marks in
every stage of my academic career. I completed my 10th and 12th from Plato Public School,
after that I did Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering in 2018 from
Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. I scored First Division in my graduation.
The first and foremost reason to select Northeastern University was that I could realize the
importance of international education even in college. The subject matter and teaching
methodologies are vastly different and much more holistic than that taught in my college.
Browsing through the information brochure and the Universities home page I feel that the
study at the Northeastern University holds a lot of promise to me. I believe that Project
Management from Northeastern University will provide me the chance to enable further
honing of my technical and analytical skills acquired so far. The reputation of the esteemed
university, combined with the flexibility incorporated in its learning system, its
infrastructure has motivated me to become a part of the learning environment. Northeastern
University provides a learning experience that is supported by highly experienced and
trained faculty from a wide range of disciplines and industries. Course material is delivered
during a sort of methods including traditional lectures, case studies, simulations, guest
speakers and a singular applied learning approach.
Canada is without any doubt one of the best countries to pursue a globally recognized
education. Its diverse knowledge pool, affordability, student-friendly policies, and world class
exposure makes it the best destination for pursuing my master’s education. Many of my
friends, relatives have visited and studied in Canada, their cheering experiences about culture,
learning methods, mesmerizing places, gave a boost to my determination of studying in this
great country.
After the successful completion of this course in project management from Northeastern
University, I would like to come back to India and work here in a booming business economy. I
can employ myself in various roles such as; Business Analyst, Strategy Director, Project
Analyst, Project Control Analyst, Project Coordinator, Project Leader, Project Manager,
Project Officer and Project Schedule Analyst. I would like to work with leading firms like
Vodafone, Bharti Airtel, Johnson and Johnson, Nestle, Cadbury, Mckinsey & Co., Boston
Consulting Group, Bain & Co., Sony India etc.
In the future, I hope to work as a Project Manager, a role that demands excellent
organizational, planning, and communication skills. If I am to achieve this goal, I must continue
to improve my knowledge and experience in analysis, teamwork, communication, and
organization. I feel strongly that the program offered by your institution is ideal for developing
these skills and preparing me for a managerial role in a multinational company in the future.
Warm Regards
Komal Kaur Lamba
