    Geographical Source
    • Sweet Crude: contains low Sulphur (S) content

    • Sour crude: Contains high Sulphur(S) content

    • Light Crude: If API gravity >10 (lighter than H2O)


     Easy to refine and get more profits, because of more quantity of lighter
    HC present in it

    • Heavy Crude: API<10 (Heavier than H2O)


    • Need to use advanced methods because of high concentrated sulfur and
    heavy metals (NI & V)
