Volvo media packages

The Volvo media packages are built upon an integrated

Media packages

7” touch screen Internet connection

A 7” touch screen is the centre of the media system. It provides
the driver with a single point of information and a safe and
convenient way of interacting with the system.
Steering wheel switches
The driver controls the media system with the steering wheel
switches. These include a “push to talk” button to activate the
voice command function.
Voice command
Voice command not only provides a convenient way to control
the media system, it also means increased safety since the
driver can make the wanted adjustments while keeping the
eyes on the road and the hands on the steering wheel.
The driver can get connected to Internet either by tethering
through a smart devices (connected via Bluetooth, WiFi or
USB) or by using a 3G/4G dongle (USB).
The system includes services for streaming music, Internet
radio, web browsing, navigation updates etc.
Pre-loaded services
A media package has a number of pre-loaded services. Some
of the services are media package dependent. Maps for the
TomTom navigation are updated by the workshop.
Dynafleet service

Integrated navigation and fleet management system Connected safety

The options include the possibilities to integrate a navigation
and/or a fleet management system (Dynafleet) with the media
system. That means that the driver has all relevant information Navigation by TomTom

High Power Audio System Deezer, music streaming service

Audio system with Bluetooth including streaming functionality.

Conditions and prerequisites

All connected services provided by Volvo are made available
during the “useful life” of the Volvo Infotainment & Services
system.
The “useful life” means the period during which the system
(a) has sufficient memory capacity and other required techni-
cal capabilities to utilize data needed in order to prolong the
service, and (b) is capable of operating as intended without
major repairs. The system will be deemed to be out of service
and its useful life to be ended if no updates have been down-
loaded for such system for a continuous period of 24 months.
The functionality may vary depending on vehicle model, con-
nectivity technology, and other factors. Subscription is subject
to change or cancellation at any time by Volvo with advanced
notice to customer. Volvo does not assume responsibility for
technological obsolescence of the connectivity or technical
capabilities of the system, or for failure to use (non-compliant
with Volvo instructions) or misuse (abuse / improper use by
reference to the purpose of the product/service) by the cus-
tomer, or for non-compatibility of the customer mobile devices
required for the use of the system (including internet connection
availability), or for third party supplier services or products.
Any cost associated to internet connection or updating ap-
plication invoiced by the phone operator remain at the customer
charge, this includes, but is not limited to, services such as
Deezer, TuneIn and TomTom navigation traffic services.

Volvo retains the right to modify design and

specifications without prior notification.
