1. MATERIALS

‐ 3 mm hook
‐ Yarn: dark grey, light grey, yellow, white, maroon.
‐ Sewing yarn needle
‐ Stuffing material
Finished work measures 6.5 inches height, 8.5 inches length and 8 inches width.

3. HOW TO MAKE IT

First, we start crocheting the Vespa:
MAIN BODY (EXTERNAL PART)

Maroon color:

‐ 20 CH
‐ Row 1: (starting on second CH from the hook) 19 SC
‐ Row 2 to 4: 19 SC
‐ Row 5: 1 SC, DEC 1 SC, 13 SC, DEC 1 SC, 1 SC (17)
‐ Row 6 to 7: 17 SC
‐ Row 9 to 11: 15 SC
‐ Row 13 to 22: 13 SC
‐ Row 23: 13 SC BLO
‐ Row 24: 13 SC FLO
‐ Row 25 to 50: 13 SC
‐ Row 55: 1 SC, DEC 1 SC, DEC 1 SC (3 SC)
‐ Fasten off.

MAIN BODY (INTERNAL PART)

White color:

‐ 20 CH

MAIN BODY (SIDE PARTS)

First make the “horizontal” edge, in maroon color, as follows:

‐ Row 2 to 70: 3 SC
‐ Fasten off.
Sew it to the larger part of the external main body (the one with the round end), as follows:

Be sure to sew both ends as well:
Then make the “vertical” edge, also in maroon color, as follows:

Sew it to the other part of the external main body:
Now sew the internal main body and stuff it as you go:

BOTTOM OF THE SEAT

The bottom of the seat is composed of two parts. Let’s start with the first one. In white:
‐ 20 CH and join the last one to the first one.
‐ Round 1: 20 SC
‐ Round 2: turn around and go in the opposite direction repeating 5 times from *to*: *3 SC, INC
1* (25)
1*, 1 SC (31)
1*, 3 SC (38)

‐ Round 5 and 6: turn around and go in the opposite direction, 38 SC (38)
‐ Round 7: turn around and go in the opposite direction repeating 9 times from *to*: *3 SC,

‐ Round 8 to 10: turn around and go in the opposite direction, 47 SC (47)
‐ Fasten off.
Let’s do now the second part of the seat bottom. In white:
‐ 10 CH
‐ Row 1: (starting on second CH from the hook) 9 SC (9)
‐ Rows 2 to 4: 9 SC (9)
‐ Row 5: 1 SC, DEC 1, 3 SC, DEC 1, 1 SC (7)
‐ Row 6: 7 SC (7)
‐ Row 8: 5 SC (5)
‐ Row 9: 2 SC, DEC 1, 1 SC (4)
‐ Row 10: 4 SC (4)
‐ Row 11: 1 SC, DEC 1, 1 SC (3)

Sew both parts of the seat bottom together, fitting the triangle into the gap of the first part
(see pictures below).
The triangle is a little bit longer than the gap, so it will slightly stand out.

Sew the seat bottom to the main body, as follows:
SIDE PARTS

Make 2.
In maroon color:
‐ 6 SC in magic circle
‐ Round 1: 2 SC in each SC around (12)
‐ Round 2: *1 SC, INC 1 SC*. Repeat 6 times from *to* (18)
‐ Round 6 and 7: 36 SC (36)
Change to white color:
‐ Round 8: *4 SC, DEC 1 SC*. Repeat 6 times from *to* (30)
‐ Fasten off.

Stuff the bottom of the seat.
Stuff the side parts and sew them on both sides (covering the seat bottom and the lateral
part of the main body).

In dark grey color:
‐ 9 CH
‐ Rows 1 to 9: 8 SC (8)
‐ Row 10: 1SC, DEC 1, 2 SC, DEC 1, 1 SC (6)
‐ Row 11: 1 SC, DEC 1, DEC 1, 1 SC (4)
‐ Rows 12 to 15: 4 SC (4)
‐ Row 16: 4 SC BLO (4)
‐ Row 17: 4 SC (4)
‐ Row 18: 4 SC BLO (4)
‐ Rows 19 to 22: 4 SC (4)

Fold the piece at the BLO (in the middle) to form
the seat.

Now make the edge (also in dark grey color):

Sew the edge around one of the seat sides. Stuff and sew the edges to finish the seat.

Sew the seat to the Vespa on top of the seat bottom.
BACK WHEEL

In dark grey color:
‐ Round 7: 4 SC, 17 HDC BLO, 4 SC, 17 SC BLO (42)
‐ Fasten off.

Fold the wheel in half (in the middle, forming a semicircle) and sew both sides together stuffing as
you go:
Then make the 2 edges with SS at all the BLO:
Sew the wheel to the bottom of the main body (under the seat):

FRONT WHEEL

In dark grey color:
‐ Round 7: 42 HDC BLO (42)
‐ Round 8: 42 HDC (42)
‐ Round 9: All in BLO *5 SC, DEC 1 SC*. Repeat 6 times from *to* (36)

Sew the wheel to the Vespa, as follows:

Make the front edge with SC in dark grey color.
Then make the back edge with SS in white color.
