Introduction/Rationale

Statement of the Problem

This study aims to create a statistical research regarding the infected

cases in the province of Lanao del Norte. This study sought to answer the

following questions:

1. How many COVID cases do:

a. 50% of the municipalities of Lanao del Norte have?

b. 75% of the municipalities of Lanao del Norte have?

2. How many municipalities reached the following total cases:

a. 1-100 Total Cases

b. 101-200 Total Cases

c. 201-300 Total Cases

3. How many Active Cases do:

a. 50% of the municipalities of Lanao del Norte have?

b. 75% of the municipalities of Lanao del Norte have?

4. How many municipalities reached the following active cases:

a. 1-30 Active Cases

b. 31-60 Active Cases

c. 61-90 Active Cases

Definition of Terms:

COVID-19

-a disease caused by a new strain of coronavirus. 'CO' stands for corona, 'VI' for virus,

and 'D' for disease. Formerly, this disease was referred to as '2019 novel coronavirus' or

'2019-nCoV.'

Pandemic

-occurring over a wide geographic area (such as multiple countries or

continents) and typically affecting a significant proportion of the population.

Statistical Research

- is the rigorous development of improved or new statistical methods grounded in

probability and statistical theory. We focus on methods in seven areas

of statistical research and maintain expertise in each.

Hypothesis

total cases.

cases.

total cases.

Ha- The number of cases in 75% of the province does exceed 120 total

cases.

mark.

101-200 cases mark

Ho- There is less than 1 municipality that reached the 201-300 cases

mark.

300 cases mark

iii. Ho- The number of active cases in 50% of the province does not

exceed 10 active cases.

Ha- There is more than or equal to 1 municipality that reached the 51-

75 active cases mark.

Chapter II

Main Parts

Background of the Study

The COVID-19 cases have been around for more than 1 year and still

going higher. The COVID-19 pandemic has led to a dramatic loss of human life

worldwide and presents an unprecedented challenge to public health, food

systems and the world of work. The economic and social disruption caused by

the pandemic is devastating tens of millions of people are at risk of falling into

extreme poverty, while the number of undernourished people, currently estimated

at nearly 690 million, could increase by up to 132 million by the end of the year.

Millions of enterprises face an existential threat. Nearly half of the

Philippines’ 40 million local workforces are at risk of losing their livelihoods.

Informal economy workers are particularly vulnerable because the majority lacks

social protection and access to quality health care and have lost access to

productive assets. Without the means to earn an income during lockdowns, many

are unable to feed themselves and their families. For most, no income means no

food, or, at best, less food and less nutritious food.

It has clearly affected many people and know it has affected the

locality and that is why the researcher is making this statistical study to

understand deeply the distribution of cases around the province.

Chapter III

Conclusion and Reccomendation

Conclusion

The researchers had conductes a trial with a total of 2 tables as

observation for the total and active cases. The information provided in Chapter II

is calculated objectively using the measures of grouped data.

1. The 50% of the total cases per municipality is 73.83.

2. The 75% of the total cases per municipality is 125.25.

3. The 50% of the total active cases per municipality is 17.26.

4. The 75% of the total active cases per municipality is 25.64.

Base on statistics the numbers in the study are soaring higher having the

75% of the total cases at 125.5 and active cases at 25.64 per municipality which

is very alarming and puts a threat in our safety and health.

Reccomendation

The researcher has identified reccomendation to future investigatory

projects involving the topic in order to further improve it, this also have

reccomendation for citizen.

1. Studying about the statistics regarding death and recovered people would

further improve the study.

2. Using deciles and percentages for more accurate data.

3. Stay home and stay safe!
