Greetings from the National Nutrition Council (NNC) Region III!

The NNC Region III will conduct an Advocacy Meeting with Punong Barangays cum
Orientation on the Preparation of Local Nutrition Action Plan (LNAP) on February 28, 2022
at 9 o’clock in the morning.

This activity recognizes the crucial role of the Local Chief Executives in the preparation of
LNAP and its integration in the local development and investment plan. As we approach the
last year of the implementation of the Philippine Plan of Action for Nutrition (PPAN), 2017-
2022, we want to highlight the appreciation of the League of Barangay Captains on the
PPAN and guide the members of the Barangay Nutrition Committee in the preparation of
their 3-year LNAP (CY 2023-2025).

In this regard, we respectfully request the honorable Vice Chair of the Central Luzon Regional
Nutrition Committee to issue a Department Memorandum, with the aim of inviting all the
Punong Barangays in Central Luzon. May we also request you to grace the activity with your
opening message? Attached is a copy of the tentative program for your reference.
