A. How does diction influence a speech? What about a piece of writing?

Diction involves accurate, appropriate and understandable selection of words
to better convey the meaning of speech. Audience will better understand a speech if
the writer uses the correct words in delivering a speech. In writing, diction create a
certain tone that supports purpose.

B. What is context and how does it help determine diction?

Context is the circumstances that form the setting for an event, statement, or idea
and in terms of which it can be fully understood. It helps in determining diction by means
of simply identifying what words you are going to use in a certain context.

C. What is imagery?
Imagery means to use figurative language to represent objects, actions, and
ideas in such a way that it appeals to our physical senses.
