ORGANISING UNIVERSITY: Università degli Studi di Palermo (UNIPA)
LOCATION OF THE EVENT: Palermo (Sicily, Italy)
ORGANISERS: VIVERE ATENEO was born from a group of university students from the
University of Palermo which, starting from the experience of their degree course, joined
together to create a new academic associative reality able to carry on their ideas and
experience. Now VIVERE ATENEO has become a point of reference for all students.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Sicily has been the cradle of European civilization since ages. Thanks
to all the dominations, Sicily has been receiving and preserving all the tracks and signs of the
different cultures that had been there. These days Sicily represents the symbol of
immigration. The purpose of the project is to analyse what makes Sicilian culture unique and
to give the opportunity for the students involved to touch, taste and admire the
contamination present in Sicilian society. Finally, the project can be an opportunity of
mutual comparison between the various entities involved.

Sicily as cradle of culture in the Discussion and open questions regarding the End of the
April 19th Mediterranean world: history Workshop working session;
2021 and heritage (I part) free dinner

Conference ITASTRA (UNIPA School Division into working groups for the creation of End of the
April 20th of Italian as Second Language): the final paper that each team will have to write working session;
2021 Didactics and migrations. New forms and also creation of a Power Point Presentation free dinner
of hospitality that will be shown on the last day of the project
Visiting of the University Language
Centre of Palermo
Italian Language Learning Session: Team work on the 3 days passed, to continue the End of the
April 21th simulation and application of work of the paper and presentation of the topics working session;
2021 ITASTRA (UNIPA School of Italian as for their final papers free dinner
Second Language) Model
English Talk Session on the topic of Visiting of the main monuments and museums of End of the
April 22th migration with a British native Palermo working session;
2021 speaker professor free dinner
Presentation of the final papers of Final presentation with discussion and award End of the
April 23th the various teams ceremony of the best presentation. Grant of working session;
2021 participation certificates to each student free dinner

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA AND SELECTION CRITERIA SPECIFIC TO THIS PROJECT:

 Good knowledge of the Italian Language;
