priest who helped draft the Philippine
Constitution after the 1986 Edsa People
Power Revolution, died on March 6. He

in the same year he completed his
master’s degree in law.
He was an academic leader, serving as
president of Ateneo; then as dean of the
College of Arts and Sciences, and lastly

Doris Ilagan Blanco of Bartlett, IL,
passed away on March 11 at home. She
was 66. She is survived by her two sons
Daryl and Neil. Survived by her siblings
Rosita, Josefina, Renato and Alex.
Predeceased by siblings Warlito, Daniel
Ilagan Jr., & Wilfredo. Doris graduated
from Philippine Women’s University with
a degree in Nursing and spent a lifetime
dedicated to the service of caring for
others. Most recently she worked 20
years at Zurich North America. A
viewing was held at Salerno’s Rosedale
Chapels in Roselle, IL. A funeral service
held at St. Peter Damian Catholic
Church. Interment St. Michael the
Archangel Cemetery.
