Number line will used to place the numbers with decimals. Learners will be
randomly called to place different number with decimals on the number line.
Such as : 2.12, 2.28 and 2.44 etc. Few examples will be shared. Later questions
will be asked such as : Which one is greatest? Which one is smallest? Is 2.12
greater than 2.28? Yes or No? Why? Etc
Teacher will assist the Lower Performing Learners if needed.
Mini White Board Activity (in pairs) Suggest creating decimal numbers up to 2-decimal 5
Methodology places and comparing with the partner .
A set of decimal numbers (4 or 5 digits) will be given to each group. Learners
will randomly pick one card. Each group will be called one by one. They will
stand in order starting from the smallest or starting from the largest. Learners’
responses will be elicited by asking questions to check their understanding. 15
Differentiation:
For Lower Performing Learners: Read and write in words: 57, 937 1004

For Higher Performing Learners:
Gus is measuring earth worms that he digs up in his backyard. The worm he
found in the garden was 8.98m long. The worm he found under the porch was
