In May 2016, Security forccs arrestcd a tleeing conscripted BH member who is an oíd man in Borno State. Upon
interrogaron he disclosed he was forccd to support thc activities o f the scct including thc concealment o f a cache o f
arms and ammunition.
Howcver, his support was sccured for as little as N4.000 ($13.33) to dig a hole for concealment o f the arms. He
further confessed that he has been leaving with them for ovcr onc ycar

SALE OF C O LD COINS
In October 2015, a BH member was arrested at a chcckpoint in North Eastem town in Nigeria by Law Enforccment
Agents with assistance from the CJTF. The BH member was found to be in possession o f 341 pieces o f Cíold coins.
He informed that thc gold was sourced from the raids conductcd at the nearby villages and towns. The Gold coins
were to be sold latcr at nearby markets or exchangcd for other commodities

USE OF FAR M PRODUCE

Investigaron by Law enforccment Agencies revealed that a man who supplies Kolanuts and other Ítems to Boko
Haram was arrested in North Eastem Town o f Nigeria. Upon arrest he had a cash o f N l. l M illion which he made
from the sale o f kola nuts and uses the funds to support the activities o f Boko Haram.

SALE OF DRY FISH

In A pril 2016, LEAs/CJTF arrested 11 BH members were arrested at a market in North West with 463 bags o f fish.
Upon arrest, they confessed that they are engaged in legitímate business o f fish selling in order to raise funds and
support thc activities o f BH.

USE OF C A T T LE
In July 2016, BH members rustlcd 20,000 cattle from villagc one village to another in Maiduguri, Borno State. The
cows are usually transported to a market in Jigawa State through the Republic o f Niger in order to hide their trace
and make them look legitímate.
