Introduction

In Physical Education and Sports School Based Assessment students were required
to fulfill the responsibilities of their respective role and reports on what they had
done. Being a first aid officer and maintaining first aid facilities. The students
doing CXC Physical Education and Sports are to conduct at Haile Selassie High
soccer competition match for 2017-2018. You will be seeing the correspondence,
minutes and fixtures etc that were used to make this School Based Assessment a
success
 Roles and Responsibilities of a first aid officer

. Responsible for maintaining a first aid kit and applying first aid when required
. Liaises with relevant personnel to devise appropriate procedures in event of
serious injuries

. Collates and distributes information related to care and prevention of sport

injuries.

. Write up reports of accidents details caused and suggested action for future
prevention.

. Identifies possible hazard or cause of injuries and report them to the competiton
Manager.
 Stage of Preparation

As a first aid officer I plan to take a certain action before the event in order for it to
be successful. In case of a situation beyond my control I planned to address these
problem. In case of an injury most happen in a football game, I plan to address this
problem in many ways depending on the type of injury. In case were a team
member is seriously injured person to the nearest hospital.
In case of absence-if a member of a member of the first aid team was assigned to
do a particular task is absent; the other member will be assigned to that for us to
achieve our goals as a group.
In case of rain- rain occurs naturally and we need to prepare for this occurrence. In
addiction a shelter will prepared to provide accommodate the first aider and injured
person as well and the necessary equipment.

School Based Assessment

The students Pursing CXC Physical Education and Sports are to conduct a football
competition called Torture Cup for the purpose of our School Based Assessment
(SBA) grade.
We are here by seeking permission to use your equipment. The Torture Cup Soccer
Competition match will be held on the 2nd of November 2017 at 10:20am on school
ground.
Security are being put in place to make sure that day’s activities go well and first
aid matter are carried out by school nurse and acting first officer. We the member
of the Physical Education CXC class for 2017-2018 await your king response as
