COMMUNITY PETITION FOR ROAD CONSTRUCTION

Bgy. Binday, San Fabian, Pangasinan may not be considered as one of

the poorest barangays in the Philippines, but there are farm to market
roads that are underdeveloped which require utmost attention.

Most residents here rely on farming and these farmers, who are one of the
top food producing sectors in our country, are continuously striving to be
lifted from the poorest of our nation.

One of the factors that drive urban economy growth is a decent access to
roads. This will provide access to farmers for them to market their crops
and it will help lessen the cost of transportation. It will also open up
opportunities for investors which can boost the local economy. Hospitals,
schools, and other facilities can be accessed by residents, increasing their
morale to be more productive.

The private road spanning from Sitio Banaba connecting it to the main
road is mostly flooded during rainy seasons. It is low enough that excess
water from farm lands accumulate here and after the water, it results to
muddy and uneven road.

We, on behalf of our community, are sincerely asking for help to find a
long term solution — which might not be immediate — but includes
provision and construction of a public road that would connect our Sitio to
the main road. The community can work hand and hand with our local
government to find a solution as several private lot owners have expressed
their willingness to donate portions of their land for this project.

We believe that the progress of our community will trickle up to the

progress our country and will depend on a collaborative effort of the
people.
