II. RATIONALE:

The shift to Distance Learning Modality has set schools for various plights and
challenges on how to effectively address the struggling learners who are
disadvantaged by this pandemic. One of the focus of this context is to strengthen the
conduct of remediation and intervention inorder to assess learning gaps and provide
appropriate actions. It is therefore significant to heighten teachers knowledge, skills
and understanding on how to give effective remediation and intervention in the
context of this pandemic.
In addition, the situation this pandemic has brought us entails more effort to
remotely facilitate teaching and learning in various forms. It is therefore timely to
embrace the role of technology since it is evident now that the power and
importance of technology in education sector is necessary. Thus, it is equally
important to equip the teachers with the knowledge of the technology that aid
teachers to effectively facilitate lessons.

With the context above, this training is deemed a necessity to be implemented as


one of the thrust of the school to encourage professional development of teachers
through the school level effort such as In-service trainings.

III. OBJECTIVES:

This 2- Day School-based Inservice Training on Remediation & Intervention in Distance


Learning, Class Point & Zip Grade aims to:

1. Orient teachers with strategies in conducting remediation and intervention in


distance learning.
2. Create individual sample output of various remediation & intervention
materials.
3. Acquire skills in using ClassPoint & Zip grade with item Analysis
