 Conserves natural resources such as timber, water and minerals
 Increases economic security by tapping a domestic source of
materials
 Prevents pollution by reducing the need to collect new raw materials
 Saves energy
 Supports American manufacturing and conserves valuable resources
 Helps create jobs in the recycling and manufacturing industries in the
United States

Environmental awareness campaigns refer to organizing and educating the

general public about the importance of understanding our environment's
vulnerability and protecting it.
Social Activism – Marches, speeches, rallies, and other forms of civic
involvement. Volunteerism – Planting trees, cleaning up litter, and other
hands-on activities that directly improve the environment. Education – Raising
awareness of environmental issues and the science behind the solutions.
Environmental awareness is an incredibly important part of our lives. In order
to protect the sustainability of the planet, everyone needs to commit to
becoming more environmentally aware.

In 1990, Congress passed the Pollution Prevention Act (P2 Act) which

states "The Environmental Protection Agency must establish a source
reduction program which collects and disseminates information, provides
financial assistance to States, and implements the other activities...."

An environmental police officer is a government-employed professional who enforces

laws and regulations pertaining to protecting natural resources. Environmental police
officers typically work outdoors in state parks or nature reserves. They have extensive
knowledge of wildlife, nature and the laws surrounding them, including:

 Fish
 Water and air pollution
 Vertebrates and plants
 Wetlands
 Dams
 Boating safety
 Water safety
 Littering
 Drowning prevention
 Monitor hazardous waste disposal: When individuals violate nature
laws and dispose of hazardous waste on public nature reserves or state
parks, it's the environmental police officer's duty to prevent it or control
the damage after.

The three important environmental laws are: The Forest Conservation Act,

1980, The Environment (Protection) Act 1986, The Wildlife Protection
Act, 1972,

Environmental law works to protect land, air, water, and soil. Negligence of

these laws results in various punishments like fines, community service, and
in some extreme cases, jail time. Without these environmental laws, the
government would not be able to punish those who treat the environment
poorly

The environmental law will make sure that industries meet all the legal obligations that are
required to respect and save our environment.
