Crime prevention process emanates from the local form government to


ensure the safety of all its constituents whom the barangay tanod has the biggest
role within the barangay. The study the design was used the descriptive
correctional to survey the respondents using guide questions in collecting the data
of this research in a Likert scale form. Statistical tools were utilized for the
frequency and/or percentage, weighed mean, chi-square from sixteen (16)
barangay officials and one hundred ninety-nine (199) selected residents within the
barangay Kidalos, Kapatagan, Lanao del Norte. The result of the study disclosed
that majority of the barangay official as respondents belong to age forty-one (41)
to fifty (50) years old, female, married, college level and college graduate, have 1-
5 years of service and majority respondents of selected community belong age
41-50 years old, male, married, elementary level and college level, have 27 years
of residency. The researchers concluded to make a training program for the
barangay tanod to develop their skills and knowledge in the performance of their
duties and function in barangay.
