Biochemistry Programme: Bachelor of Science (Honours) Biochemistry

Objectives/Aims OR Course Content

1 The course design encompasses the possibility of multiple interaction by allowing for
interdisciplinary academic placement and industry/university exchanges. Some of the
areas of application covered include pure research, clinical, food, industrial and
commercial, traditional and foreign medicine.

2 With the career prospects of our graduates in mind, relevant emphasis is placed on
progressive interaction with Biotechnology-based industries, institutions, and smaller
incorporated bodies from the first year of the programme to the final year, when a three-
month industrial/commercial placement is required for every one of our final year
students.
