LET FREEDOM ROLL! The Freedom Convoy rolled
through Montana yesterday and today, leaving
Billings this morning with the next overnight stop
being Gillette, Wyoming. This Freedom Convoy is
much more than just getting government mandates
lifted. It’s an outburst about liberty & FREEDOM!

If you notice the big turnout
in Butte, America above —
keep in mind: that is just one
overpass. There were supporters
for the freedom convoy staged on
multiple overpasses in Butte.
Can you imagine if you were
someone who was just driving
down the interstate in Montana
on Wednesday afternoon and all
of a sudden you see huge crowds
of people holding American
and Canadian flags (and maybe
a “Biden Sucks” flag or two as
well) over the interstate? You’d
probably be wondering what was
going on.
Well, turn off the mainstream
media and start listening to the
people and talk radio and you’d
quickly learn that the freedom
convoys rolling across Montana
on Wednesday and Thursday are
a part of something much bigger
happening across the country.
In the Belgrade/Bozeman
area folks were lined up rallying
early in the afternoon and stayed
late to greet the truckers after
dark. And the fireworks started
in Billings even before the convoy
rolled in.

Tree habitat structures being placed at Fort Peck Trout Pond
Glasgow-area Boy Scout Troop 861 and Montana
Fish, Wildlife & Parks fisheries staff will be placing
Christmas tree habitat structures at the Fort Peck Trout
Pond in the coming weeks.
Bundles of Christmas trees will be placed on the ice
where they will remain until melting causes them to fall
through and settle to the bottom. The goal of these tree
bundles is to improve and increase habitat in the Trout
Pond and ultimately improve the fishery.
The use of Christmas tree bundles as artificial
habitat has been shown in other small bodies of water,
like the Trout Pond, to benefit populations of several fish
species. Additionally, while this will be the first project
of its kind at the Trout Pond, FWP staff along with local
community members and organizations have performed
similar habitat projects elsewhere in Region 6.
FWP staff asks that the public not disturb these
habitat structures and stay away from them while
stationed on the ice. Bundles will be strategically placed
in areas where fish can best utilize them for spawning
and rearing habitat after ice-off. Appropriate signage will
be in place to notify the public of areas to avoid during

The article “Lefty Traits” that begins on this page is a
lengthy missive from a Vietnam Veteran, (110 Missions)
in various aircraft who Frank Vargo was fortunate enough
to have been stationed with. Lt.Col. Follmer is a graduate
of Yale University and his father was a Commander of
Pearl Harbor during WWII. Bill and Frank have been
friends since 1966 (soon to be Frank’s wife Lin’s good
buddy) and he has been here twice visiting Glasgow
and staying with their family at St. Marie and Shady Rest
Park. Bill is a retired USAF officer and President of the
Foster Botanic Garden in Honolulu, Hawaii. Pictured is
Bill and and Frank’s keeper, Lin, at Fort Buford, North
Dakota, where Sitting Bull surrendered. Lin’s Great-
Great Grandfather was the First Sargent at the fort in
1876 when General Custer came looking for volunteers.
Lefty Traits
by Bill Follmer (and to be continued in Friday’s Buzz)
Being an older conservative, I try to please and
not offend my left-leaning friends. Actually, I try not
to offend anyone, but I find lefties are more tender and
require special care. Still, I am fascinated as to how we
can look at the same situation and come to opposite
conclusions. Many of my left-leaning friends are nice,
kind, smart people whose political behavior doesn’t
make sense to me. To satisfy my curiosity and my desire
to understand them better and keep conversations
friendly, I approach people differently depending on my
assessment if they’re left or right and to what degree.
With conservatives, I can almost always say what’s on
my mind and get an honest and friendly response. With
liberals and lefties, if the opportunity presents itself,
my first step before engaging in a conversation is to
observe and listen to them in order to determine if there
is hope for mutual understanding and how to begin a
conversation.
These are some of the views I listen for which, in my
opinion, separate conservatives and lefties and help me
begin a conversation with them:
1. Government: What are their limits on an
individual’s rights?
2. Arguments: How do they justify their opinions?
3. Sources: Who do they listen to and quote?
4. Standards: Do they apply them equally?
Let’s look at just these 4 topics, realizing there are
many more left-right indicators and that I am talking
in general and that there are many exceptions and
variations.
GOVERNMENT
Government and the rights of the individual is
an issue that clearly separates the left and the right.
Conservatives think that government is necessary in
order to preserve freedom and the rights of an individual
to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Lefties
do not. They believe government is there to promote
the common good of groups and consider individual
freedom at best a nice-to-have option when it doesn’t
conflict with their agenda. Lefties look at individuals
not as individuals but as members of groups (such as:
blacks, whites, men, women, Hispanics, European,
Asian, minority, rich, poor etc.) and allocate resources,
opportunities and rights to individuals based upon their
group identification and the left’s false assumptions
of their common interest regardless of their actual
differing views, needs, and qualifications. For example,
a successful black father is still considered a victim by
lefties and eligible for special benefits while a poor white
single mother is assumed to be a privileged oppressor, a
white supremist and someone worthy of special attention

because of its utopian goals and their closed-minded
certainty of their cause, are more inclined to use force
rather than persuasion to achieve them. Some examples

change voting rules and/or to pack the Supreme Court,
and executive orders (e.g., forced closure of Keystone
Pipeline for climate change, gender equity and women’s
sports). Here are 3 examples of that utopian closed-
minded certainty from Hillary Clinton: “We’re going
to take things away from you on behalf of the common
good.” (Jun 29, 2004) “(We).... can’t just let business as
usual go on, and that means something has to be taken
away from some people.” (Jun 4, 2007) “We have to
build a political consensus and that requires people to
give up a little bit of their own ... in order to create this
common ground.” (June 4, 2007) Guess who that “we”
is and who’s going to determine what’s “good” for you.
“What difference does it make?” to quote the Secretary
of State who claimed the terrorist armed with RPGs
who assaulted our embassy in Benghazi were actually
spontaneous protesters who were inflamed by a hateful
video. Well, the difference is her “common good” is not
my “common good” and her “little bit” is not my “little
bit” for starters.
ARGUMENTS
Argument style provides another clue to left-right
orientation. It’s my observation that lefties are more
likely to: Avoid specific examples. Ignore contradictions
and pivot when cornered. Project their faults and
misdeeds on their opponents. Use undefinable terms.
And demonize their opponents. The best I can do to
support my observations is to give several examples and
let the reader judge whether “the shoe fits” some of their
lefty friends.
Since giving examples is my first point, here are a few.
For example, when liberals criticize conservative Tucker
Carlson, they accuse him of such things as “doing Putin’s
bidding”, being an antivaxxer, and being a purveyor of
“conspiracy theories”. Never do they give an example of
what specifically he is doing that benefits Putin nor is
there any evidence that Putin ever communicates with
Tucker. The facts are Tucker has been vaccinated, and he
recommends others consult their doctor before getting
vaccinated. Similarly, the conspiracy theories Tucker is
spreading are never identified.
Lefties are so emotionally bonded to their
ideology that any facts that contradict their ideology
are disbelieved and ignored. For example, only lefties
propose reparations to pay black people for their years
of slavery. But the facts contradict that this would help
the actual slave victims as they are all long dead now,
as are the white slave owners who would be the logical
funding source for the reparations. The Civil War
ended slavery in May 1865. Another example is CNN’s
reporting on the riots in Kenosha Wisconsin in August
2020. Standing in front of burning buildings and looted
stores, CNN national correspondent Omar Jimenez
repeats the chyron at the bottom of the screen “FIREY
BUT MOSTLY PEACEFUL PROTEST AFTER POLICE
SHOOTING.” The visual image contradicts what they
want to report, so they don’t believe their own eves and
follow their ideology.
As for projecting misdeeds on to your opponents
the best example of that is Hillary’s Russian Dossier
where she colludes with Russian assets to produce false
documents implying the Trump campaign was colluding
with the Russians.
Undefinable terms are a trademark of the Left. They
invent scores of terms which they purposely never define.
For example, give me definitions for: “misinformation”,
“disinformation”, “climate change”, “environmental
justice”, and “equity”. Facebook, Biden, and cancel
culture activists want to silence conservatives because
they are spreading “misinformation” or “disinformation”.
Nobody knows what either means. They don’t quote
the content they are concern with, nor do they claim it’s
false. The authors of the content can’t defend themselves
because they don’t know what specifically to defend.
That’s the beauty of this tactic of using undefinable
terms. Accusers don’t have to justify their statements,
and the accused can’t defend themselves. When the NY
Post published its bombshell Hunter Biden “Laptop from
Hell” story just prior to the 2020 election, Biden claimed
it was Russian “disinformation”, and Big Tech and the
mainstream media censored the story which to this day
not a word of it has been proven false nor has there been
a lawsuit claiming it is false.
Billions are being spent in the name of combating
“climate change”. But the phenomena used to be
called “global warming”. Why the change to “climate
change”? Climates are always changing. What changes
are they talking about? And have the billions made any
difference? According to AOC in a May 13, 2019 speech
at Howard University on her Green New Deal, she said
we only have 12 years before the damage from global
warming is irreversible and the weather will kill us all
by 2031. Now, she says she was just kidding about that
12-year thing.
“Equity” is another term that lefties never define*
but has been used to justify unequal treatment for various
groups. For example, “equity” was the justification for 8
of Biden’s first 40 executive orders including the one that
allows people without a uterus to identify as females and
legally compete in women’s sports and enter women’s
bathrooms, locker rooms, and showers. That executive
order was aimed at some sort of gender equity.
Many of Biden’s equity initiatives are about
economic equity or redistribution of wealth where
economic aid goes to nonwhite recipients. For example,
his American Rescue Plan launched in March 2021 paid
up to 120% of the loans for farmers of color who are
black, Hispanic, Latino, American Indian, Alaska native,
Asian American or Pacific Islanders. Basically, it gave
the middle finger to white farmers. A Federal Judge
in Wisconsin ruled it was unlawful because Congress
cannot discriminate based on race.
Here is a Biden equity program that’s hard to
classify. On February 7, 2022, The Washington Free
Beacon reported that the Biden Administration will
initiate a $30 million grant program that will distribute
“smoking kit/supplies” that will provide safer pipes for
drug addicts when they smoke crack cocaine, crystal
methamphetamine or “any illicit substance”. Applicants
for grant money will be prioritized for selection if they
promise to use the funds in “underserved communities,
“where there are large African-American and LGBTQ+
populations in accordance with Biden’s executive order
on “advancing racial equity and support for underserved
communities.”
(*NOTE: VP Kamala did provide an example, not a
definition, of equity. On November 1, 2021 she made the
case against equality and for equity this way: “Equality
suggests ‘Oh, everyone should get the same amount,’” she
said. “The problem with that: not everybody’s starting
out from the same place. So, if we’re all getting the same
amount but you started out back there and I started out
over here, we could get the same amount but you’re still
going to be that far back behind me.” So, Kamala’s equity
seeks equal results, not equal benefits or opportunity.)
Rather than run on issues and their accomplishments,
lefties often would rather demonize their opponent. For
Example: Terry McAuliffe in his reelection campaign for
governor of Virginia against Republican Glenn Youngkin
would attack him not based upon his record or issues he
supports but instead by associating him with the already
demonized Donald Trump. In a 15-minute interview
on CNN with Dana Bash, McAuliffe mentioned Donald
Trump 13 times even though Youngkin had not sought
Trump’s endorsement or used him on the campaign
trail. Likewise, both Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden in
their campaigns against Donald Trump spent most
of their efforts on demonizing Trump and little time
on their accomplishments. Can anyone think of any
accomplishment Hillary or Joe achieved while they were
senators? Hillary, of course, funded the Steel Dossier
which claimed Trump hired Russian prostitutes to pee
on a bed used by Obama in Moscow. While Biden spent
most of the summer of his 2020 campaign hiding in his
basement while his campaign and the press accused
Trump of being xenophobic and being personally
responsible for hundreds of thousands of COVID
deaths in spite of the facts that the virus spread from
China to the world and that Trump’s Operation Warp
Speed produced and distributed 3 vaccines faster than
ever before.
SOURCES
It’s my experience that sources for lefties tend to
be selectively chosen based on whether they agree with
leftist ideology and not on evidence they provide. Sources
with facts that conflict with their agenda are ignored.
Lefty sources seem to speak from the same playbook,
expressing the same ideas with the exact same buzz
words. They tend to live in an echo chamber, perhaps
due to the fact that the mainstream media, academia,
and big tech have for years been dominated by lefties.
Many of my lefty friends purposely don’t listen to Fox
as it has been demonized as purveyors of “conspiracy
theories” and “misinformation” or they are following the
recommendations of Barack Obama or Jen Psaki both of
whom have mocked Fox as a reliable source.
In a post-election survey conducted November
2020 of 1,750 Biden voter in 7 swing states (AZ, GA,
MI, NV, NC, PA and WI) by The Polling Company, it
found that: 45% of Biden voters were unaware of the
Hunter Biden Scandal which was only available of Fox
News and the New York Post and 9% said they would
not have voted for Biden had they known. There were
7 other issues Biden voters were unaware of that were
heavily mentioned in conservative sources of which
Biden voters had an average of 40% ignorance rate.
These issues were: Biden’s sex assault allegations, Harris
being the most leftist Senator, Trumps record of 33.1%
economic growth, 11.1 million jobs created during
Trump’s presidency, Trump’s Middle East Peace Deals,
US energy independence, and Operation Warp Speed.

Lions roar heard in Sidney

The Eastern C Divisional tournament kicked off
Wednesday afternoon with the boys playing their first
round games. The girls will get their chance Thursday.
It took an extra four minutes before Lustre Christian
could pull out a 71-59 win over Bainville in an opening
round game. Jasiah Hambria was the hero of the night as
he scored nine points in the overtime to lead the Lions. The
6-foot-3 junior scored the final five points of the game.
Lustre Christian (19-1) led 50-38 with 7:35 to play in
the fourth but saw Bainville come back with a 10-2 run to
get within 52-48 on Ayden Knudsen’s bucket. The Lions also
led 57-51 with 56 seconds to play. Bainville rallied behind
a pair of long balls to tie the game. Braeden Romo buried
a three with 34 seconds left. Knudsen drained a three with
just over a second left.
The Lions could have iced the game when Kolden
Hoversland went to the line for bonus free throws. The
senior missed the front end with Bainville getting the
rebound.
Jesse Strickland gave the Bulldogs 59-57 lead
in overtime, but the Lions took over with a 14-0 run.
Hoversland drilled a three to start the run.
The game started out hot with five straight treys for a
9-6 Bulldogs lead. Knudsen, Charles Butikofer, and Romo
had treys for Bainville. Elijah Lenihan and Kaleb Hoverslnd
nailed threes for the Lions. The first quarter finished with
seven 3-pointers. The first half had 10 long balls with the
Lions draining six treys. Lenihan finished the half with four
treys.
Bainville led 20-10 with 30 seconds left in the first
before Lenihan’s three. Lustre Christian came back in the
second for a 30-27 lead at the half.
The Lions led 44-35 with 1:30 to play in the third, but
led by nine going into the fourth. Braeden Ewing scored for
a 48-38 lead with 10 seconds gone on the clock.
Bainville’s defense picked off four straight Lustre
Christian pases to score eight points in the 10-2 run. Romo’s
three had the Bulldogs back to within 56-51.
Lenihan scored 18 points in the first half and finished
with 25. Hambria scored 19 points in the second half.
Kolden Hoverslnd and Ewing had 10 points each, Kaleb
Hoverslnd four, and Kayden Klatt three.
Romo led Bainville ith 15 points, Knudsen followed
with 14, Charles Butikofer 13, Strickland 10, Samuel
Butikofer five, and Alex Stricklnd two.
In the opener the Froid-Lake RedHawks flew out to an
8-0 lead over Plentywood for a 48-30 win. The Redhawks
led 24-13 at the break and broke away for a 35-15 lead in the
third. Plentywood rallied to get back to a 14 point deficit,
35-21, at the end of the third.
Mason Dethman led Froid-Lake with 10 points,
Javonne Nesbit and Tyler Wivholm eight each, Brett Stentoft
seven, Pattan Bighorn five, Bode Miller and Connor Huff
four eah, and Nate Stentoft two.
Reese Wirtz had 12 points to lead the Wildcats, Niah
Murray added six, Cayden Trupe five, Kaul three, Easton
Tommerup and Cameron Brusven two each.
Scobey-Opheim ran out to a 10-3 first quarter lead,
but it was the Richey-Lambert Fusion pulling out a 44-41
victory. Grady Gonsiorski’s free throw with five seconds to
play for a 44-41 lead. Scobey-Opheim turned the ball over
in the final few seconds, giving the Fusion the win.
Richey-Lambert led 32-24 going into the fourth.
Braxton Wolfe drained a three ball with 1:10 to play to tie
the game a 40. Joshua Spoonhein completed a three-point
play with seven seconds left.
Spoonhein fired in 20 points to lead the Fusion, Grady
Gonsiorski had 13, Nick ngusser five, Bret Mullin, Tiegen
Cundiff, and Austin Lein two apiece.
Reagan Mahart led the Spartans with 11 points, Gabe
Hallock 10, Hudson Kjos seven, Wolfe six, Bo Anderson
five,and Jace Bilbrey two.
Hunter Sharbono scored 12 of his first-half 18 points
in the second period as Fairview raced out to a 32-16 lead
over North Country in the nightcap. Sharbon drilled a three
late in the first quarter to tie the game at 12. The Warriors
went on a 15-0 run in the second frame.
S harbono finished the game with 24 points to lead the
Warriors to a 56-41 win. Kanyon Taylor added 11 points,
Jeff Tjede 10, Jace vitt five, Tyler Loan four, and Gackle two.
Aiden Albus led the Mavericks with 15 points, Trey
Johnson followed with 10 points, Blaine Downing had eight,
Kade Strommen four, Coy Bowman and Taylor Morgan
two each.
Plentywood and Bainville battled in a loser out game
at 9 a.m. this morning with Scobey-Opheim playing North
Country at 10:30. Froid-Lake and Lustre christian play at 3
p.m. and R-L Fusion take Fairview at 4:30.
