“I Have A Dream”

What are the primary and secondary purposes of your video?


Primary- to film a music video for Kheal’s “I Have A Dream”
Secondary-
● to showcase students of all backgrounds at ULM
● to promote the university; to show the diversity of student life at ULM
● to show future students the activities that ULM offers
● to promote campus activities and student organizations
● to showcase the different ways people approach their educational experience at ULM

What are the specifics regarding your preproduction, production, and postproduction?
Preproduction- specify locations to film and create a filming schedule, including any talent
Production- setting up and filming in set locations
Post Production- everyone edits their version of the video

Identify your goals for each phase of the production process.


Preproduction- create a list of events on campus we want to show in our video
Production- accurately film those events
Postproduction- to have a motivational music video

What is affecting your budget, both positively and negatively?


Positively- we do not have to pay for a producer, and we do not have to leave campus to film
Negatively- we need snacks and will probably be filming for multiple days

Who is your target audience for the documentary? You need to be specific about the
audience that you are trying to target for your video:

○ Age: ​high school juniors/seniors and college-aged kids (16-25)

○ Employment Status/Income Level: ​all

○ People who are interested in seeing the activities that ULM has to offer
○ People who want to get involved on campus

campus

○ Current students who are looking to be more involved
○ Current students who are involved and want to see themselves in action
on campus
○ Future students that want to see the sort of student life that ULM fosters
○ Future students that want to see the variety of activities offered at ULM
What are the wants, needs, and expectations of your target audience?
Want- An entertaining video to go along with the music, pertaining to college life.
Needs- To see a video that highlights the many events at ULM and the exciting student life
here.
Expectations- To see an attention-grabbing video that is not too long, with good graphics.

How do you anticipate meeting these wants, needs and expectations?


By giving an entertaining and concise video that showcases the student life at ULM.
