ANSWER:

1. How to respond to foreign cultures must also be done with a moderate attitude that is not
rejecting and also not fully supporting globalization. Today's moderate society must be able to
try to take the positive side by using a way to always think positively of foreign cultures while
preventing the negative impacts that exist in foreign cultures. Someone who is moderate
should be able to be strong as well as open and also proud of their own identity. One must be
aware of the impact of foreign culture but still adhere to one's own cultural identity so that
the era of globalization can later be used to introduce culture to the world, Today's modern
era is very full of challenges in the form of strong foreign cultures from outside and also high
competition. If we can face these challenges, then that means we have also been able to pass
the era of globalization. Bad external cultural influences such as materialistic attitudes,
individualism, emotions in psychology, free and consumptive lifestyles are not in accordance
with religion and the nation's personality so that we must be able to fortify ourselves properly
so that we can distinguish between good and bad influences.

2. The concept of local culture has developed. The old understanding of local culture is closely related
to the region and the culture that develops in it. Along with the development of the times and the
socio-cultural system, nowadays local culture is interpreted as shared knowledge that is owned by a
number of people. Thus, local culture can be used to refer to street vendor culture, beggar culture,
and even school culture. Cultural boundaries by region become blurred and inadequate. Indonesia,
which is located between two continents and two oceans, has the opportunity for a process of social
interaction from various nations as well as opening the process of diffusion or spread of culture
through trade routes, both locally and between countries. It is through this trade that cultural contacts
occur between ethnic groups, both ethnic groups in Indonesia and from abroad.

Foreign culture that enters Indonesia actually also has a positive impact such as increasing creativity,
developing science and technology and so on. Even so, judging from the reality, the negative impacts
outweigh the positive impacts.

Therefore, it is hoped that all parties involved in community empowerment will be able to respond
wisely to any incoming foreign cultural influences so that local culture is not eroded, let alone
replaced. By filtering or filtering which culture has a positive or negative impact.

Our main task is how to maintain, preserve, protect, and inherit local culture as well as possible so
that future generations can understand local culture and strengthen the nation's culture and later will
make the culture of the Indonesian nation proud. This is also done so that our local culture is not
taken or claimed by other countries.

3. Bias is defined as prejudice in favor of or against one thing, person, or group compared with
another, usually in a way considered to be unfair. Bias can be seen as the overarching definition of
stereotype and prejudice, because it is how we associate traits (usually negative) to a specific group of
people. However, it turns out that the further influence is due to stereotypes not only on our
behavior, but also on the behavior of victims of stereotypes when we interact with them which can be
alleged to be self-satisfied so that it is more destructive. For example, members of the group begin to
do things according to that stereotype and display characteristics that match that stereotype. If the
stereotype is a positive thing, of course it will be good, but what happens if the instilled stereotype is a
negative thing (Sears; Freedman & Peplau, 1985).
