Image Request Guidelines
• Take your picture against a solid, dark background to avoid backlight and glare;
• Use the flash and zoom settings to allow you to capture the image more clearly;
• Take photos from several distances and angles to best capture the subject, but
maintain a distance of at least 30cm between the subject (skin or laboratory
result) and the camera
A copy of the laboratory result must contain the following in one image. You may send
multiple images as long as the general view containing the following is included. Please
make sure that the results are clear and readable.
1. Name of Patient
2. Attending Physician
3. Medical Facility
4. Date of Laboratory
Please send at least three unedited photos as an attachment to Medgate by just replying
to the email received.
Be aware that most email providers block emails with a total attachment size bigger
than 10 MB. Should you wish to send multiple images and the total size exceeds 10
MB, kindly send multiple emails.
Your photos may be reviewed by a male or female doctor and will be stored securely at
Medgate Telemedicine Centre.
Please send a current photo of the affected area. Medgate undertake procedures to
verify authenticity of photos being sent by patients. False images may lead to incorrect
diagnosis and serious consequences. Medgate reserves the right to refuse consultation
upon review of images.
If you have made a Provisional Appointment, please submit your high-quality images
by the following cut-off times, otherwise your Provisional Appointment will be cancelled,
and you will need to schedule another appointment.
