Reading: Predicting Outcomes
An outcome is the result of an action. One way of writing outcomes is by using If – then
statements.
Example:
If I clean my room, then Mom will be happy.

Language: Forming of verbs with –d, -ed and –ied


Rules in forming the –d, -ed and –ied
1. Verbs ending in –e form their past tense by adding –d.

2. Verbs ending in –k, -p, -s, -x, -ch, -gh and –sh form their past tense by
adding –ed.

3. Verbs ending in –y which comes after a vowel form their past tense by
adding –ed.

4. Verbs ending in –y which comes after a consonant form their past tense by
changing y to i and adding –ed.
